Trump will be a handful for either Sanders or Clinton.

His total disregard for the truth or for any moderation of rhetoric means he will disavow his out of wack primary statements. He will certainly continue with his over simplified views of every issue but will aim directly at the independent voter who sees the government as the problem rather than the solution. He will be confident of his support from the GOP mainstream and will simply say anything to court the disaffected Democrat and the mildly interested.

What do you think?

Say what you want about ISIS, they can spread fear pretty effectively.

The United States correctional department could learn a lesson from ISIS. If the point of the death penalty is to deter crime, the courts should order release of videos of the executions all across the country like ISIS apparently has no trouble posting on the web.

This link brings you to an array of ISIS videos of executions. I found it when googling for information on the estimated size of the group. That seems to range from 30,000 to 200,000 but there seems to be nothing definitive.

Having trouble understanding the Indiana RFRA?

Let this group of Christians spell it out for you.

"Though the group most likely to be singled out in our thoughts is the LGBT community, it is clearly possible for many others to be told they are unacceptable to receive whatever services or goods a person or company has on offer. Consider the possibility that only Christians will be served in some places, only Jews in others, while no Muslims, Buddhists, Zoroastrians, or Druids can purchase merchandise in some stores, and only Latinos will be included here, only Blacks excluded there....you see the point. This legislation gives the appearance of tolerating and protecting overt bigotry in any form so long as it is dressed up as personal religious fervor.

That this is terrible for business is already being made exquisitely plain. That it is an embarrassment to 'Hoosier Hospitality' is undeniable. It is also an affront to faithful people across the religious landscape. Provision of a legal way for some among us to choose to treat others with disdain and contempt is the worst possible use of the rule of law.

Well, one thing, there is no inflation!

How's your inflation? And I'm not talking footballs here.

1/2 gallon ice cream now 1 1/2 quarts.

One pound of Ritz crackers now 13.7 oz.

One pound Cracker barrel cheese, was 10 oz. now 8 oz.

One pound can of coffee, was 11 oz. now 10 oz.

5 pounds of sugar, now 4.

Can someone do the math?

Do they think we are not paying attention?

Have you noticed any indications?

The politics of Pepperoni, Paul Krugman.

Do you find yourself in the Diabetes belt?

It's all related, it turns out. Who Knew?

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/03/06/opinion/paul-krugman-pepperoni-turns-partisan.html?rref=collection%2Fcolumn%2Fpaul-krugman&contentCollection=opinion&action=click&module=NextInCollection&region=Footer&pgtype=article

"At one level, there is a clear correlation between lifestyles and partisan orientation: heavier states tend to vote Republican, and the G.O.P. lean is especially pronounced in what the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention call the “diabetes belt” of counties, mostly in the South, that suffer most from that particular health problem. Not coincidentally, officials from that region have led the pushback against efforts to make school lunches healthier."

Did you see this Greenwald article about the media and Snowden?

I think if I were Snowden I would be happy to stay in Russia rather than take my chances in the American Justice System.

Borowitz: Email scandal not up to Clinton standards.

“When people hear the words ‘Clinton scandal,’ they expect a certain amount of sex and sleaze,” Logsdon said. “But once they find out that this one is about State Department e-mail regulations which may or may not have been disobeyed, they feel very let down.”
