No other president could have done any better

than the uniquely equipped Joe Biden. He passed not one, but TWO pieces of landmark legislation before the midway point of his very first term. He realized his accomplishments without a Democratic supermajority in the Senate and a slim majority in the House. This is after inheriting a government that was in a functional spiral of diminution due to four consecutive years of signature republican malfeasance and incompetence. We will be back on that track of republican malfeasance and incompetence if we don't support our President. Support is contagious as is whining. Anyone who chooses to take Joe Biden and his successes for granted by jumping on the Dump on Biden bandwagon should take a little time to consider the alternative.

I continue to fully support Biden/Harris. I'm not ashamed or embarrassed. I'm simply proud and grateful that I know how this country works.

For the billionth time...

The point of successful progressive messaging is not to change the mind of intransigent MAGA DOOFUSES! Think about it. When MAGA DOOFUSES engaged in creating CRT as a boogie man for uninformed whites they didn't say "but that won't convince the Bidenites." They went ahead with their messaging -- and Goon Youngkin got elected in Virginia. Youngkin did not get elected due to a plurality of MAGA DOOFUSES. He got elected with a boost from a demographic of uninformed white suburbanites who were susceptible to persistent unanswered messaging from MAGA DOOFUSES. Those same people CAN be susceptible to progressive messaging if the message is there. So if you have talking points that can resonate with wishy-washy white suburbanites and a fellow so-called progressive responds "but that won't convince the MAGA crowd," smack them in the head, either figuratively, or literally if you have to. Then tell them if they aren't going to be of any help, get the hell out of your foxhole!

Just venting.

Message to maga election disruptors...

Any attempt to intimidate voters with an "army" of maga operatives is not only illegal, but grounds for massive civil suits that will leave any members of this "army" broken and destroyed. Any person who is part of this scheme in any place will find themselves sued for everything they have. The republican national committee will distance itself from you and you will be alone to fight to an inevitable loss for yourself.

This also goes for republican legislators who think that overturning elections is among their official privileges. There is nothing that insulates you from litigation. Test that position at your peril.

Ya know who supports gun control???

Police don't like going up against killers with AR-15s. Police groups have outlined what they see as sane policy regarding guns, but those opinions don't surface when it matters in times like these and why not? Here's one suspicion - cops don't want to fall out from the right-wing nutjobs. When cops are under the microscope for killing unarmed black people, they are comforted by the Tea Party, MAGA, Blue Lives Matter crowd. Sadly, cops think that alliance is worth more than the laws they support to keep them safe. Not like this is anything new. It's just another demographic so terrified of GQP hostility that they'd rather cave than look out for the best interest of themselves, not to mention the whole country.

Of course, this is not true of every single cop.

Et tu MSNBC?

Why do I even tune in early in the day to listen to hacks wax non-objectively about Democrats not having a unifying message without EVER asking the same about the QOP. Their bent seems to be that Democrats need a unifying message, but Republicans don't. If you're wondering why that is, it's because defenders of the Old Order always receive less scrutiny. The Republican party was a bastion of white nationalism long before Nicole Wallace (whom I do like) and Steve Schmidt left it, but even in progressive circles you could expect to hear "well, that's a broad generalization." Not until after yet another white nationalist terror attack in Buffalo do we finally admit how the Republican rhetoric leads to domestic terror. It's actually been the case for years. My advice to the early crew on MSNBC - pretend Republicans aren't white if that's what it takes for you to apply any scrutiny.

What I saw the other day

I confess, I turned on MTP expecting to shake my head and it didn't disappoint. Chuckles was talking to a small panel of moderate-seeming perhaps dems who were complaining how the Democrats needed to work on their messaging. It totally reminded me of the person watching the fire department put the fire in their house out while complaining about the water they were using. It's as if these people don't even know the issues in the first place if they can't figure what the Democratic position is. The Democratic stance really hasn't changed all that much since FDR. The way I see it is every Republican needs to be voted out in every election, in every place, at every level because at this point, the biggest issue is Democracy vs. Third Reich. How on Earth do you not get that message?

I don't see a problem with this

Lawsuits against any White Nationalist Party officials who unfairly toss out election results where they aren't winning - Not just lawsuits to right that wrong, but individual lawsuits that will destroy those officials and leave them homeless and destitute. No one has challenged these goobers with any possible consequences of violating the rights of voters. These are the same people who suppress the vote with ads and billboards in "certain" neighborhoods telling voters that even honest mistakes on ballots are punishable under the law. It's time to turn up the heat and turn the tables on these cons. It's time to indicate that they don't in fact have a privilege card that allows them to play by their own rules. PLEASE. Let's scare the living shit out of these people.

If only there was a DU Award for American Integrity...

I would nominate Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss for aggressively going after MAQA World for defamation. After being slandered and libeled by hostile white nationalists, they didn't complain about how bad conservatives are, they went on offense. And they aren't done yet. Much respect to them.

Let's Destroy FAILED DELI MANAGER Kevin McCarthy

With November 2022 looming, it's time to do as Democrats the one sole thing Republicans do well - capitalize on vulnerabilities of the opponent. Kevin McCarthy is in place to be the next House speaker if Republicans take control of Congress and his cache of faults is ripe for exploiting. The only reason McCarthy flies below the radar is because we have not treated him to the assault he deserves. The time to position Kevin McCarthy as a Republican lightning rod is long overdue. Goppers went after Nancy Pelosi long before she became Speaker of the House. While they could not keep her from ascending, they turned one of the most successful SOTH into a so-called polarizing figure through relentless propaganda campaigns. It's time to do the same to Kevin McCarthy.

Like former gopper House speaker Paul Ryan, McCarthy is an anti-government zealot who has relied on a government paycheck throughout his adult career. Before his useless loafing on the government dole, McCarthy was a FAILED DELI MANAGER who COULDN'T HACK IT IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR. His FAILURE IN BUSINESS explains the FAILED REPUBLICAN POLICIES he has supported. His tax cuts for the rich and corporate giveaways have done nothing for American families. McCarthy TRIED TO KILL THE BIPARTISAN INFRASTRUCTURE BILL and therefore TRIED TO KILL AMERICAN JOBS.

McCarthy has enabled anti-vaccine sentiment WHICH HAS ONLY LED TO THE SPREAD OF COVID. In a country where the majority of citizens are vaccinated, McCarthy is way out of step from where the rest of the country is. Kevin McCarthy in any U.S. leadership position is A THREAT TO THE HEALTH AND WELFARE OF AVERAGE AMERICANS.

As the head of a hostile and impulsive caucus, McCarthy has spent his efforts providing aid and comfort to white nationalists and violent insurrectionists within his party. In his quest for more power, McCarthy is conspiring with Donald Trump who as president used McCarthy's support to bring the United States to its lowest point since the Civil War. TO SHARE KEVIN MCCARTHY'S VIEW OF AMERICA YOU HAVE TO LOOK BACKWARDS.

MCCARTHY HAS NO LAW OR POLICY HE CAN TAKE CREDIT FOR. His only expertise is in trying to legitimize the failure of Trumpism. He is not intelligent. He is not adept. He is not capable. He is not trustworthy. He is not bipartisan. He is not for the middle class. He has no agriculture policy. He has not education policy. He has no foreign policy. He has no energy policy. HE IS A FAILED DELI MANAGER OUT OF HIS DEPTH.

This and more is what needs to be said again and again and again. The idea is to weaken gopper positioning by putting them on defense, just as goppers do so well. And as for the "where's the data" crowd, you can sit out this campaign. This isn't about data. It's about winning hearts and minds. You don't win hearts and minds with data. You do it by throwing everything at the wall. In this case, "wall" is a perfect analogy for McCarthy.

Did Garland just say...?

"These acts and threats of violence are not associated with any one set of partisan or ideological views" regarding threats against Congresspeople, judges, and school boards?

You just lost me dude. One step forward, ten steps back. Every example he gave was specifically of the aberrant behavior in which Republicans/white nationalists/conservo-terrorists have felt emboldened to engage. He can't talk about getting to the root of the problem by denying the problem has a root. This guy is rudderless.
