Family of Man Shot Dead by Police File $10m Lawsuit, Partner Says it is a "Perfect" Crime

The family of a man shot dead by police in Long Beach have filed a $10 million civil rights lawsuit.

Jason Conoscenti was killed as he ran away from officers. He was suspected of committing a robbery, but had no weapon other than scissors and a stick. Video taken of the incident show him running apparantly empty-handed before the shots were fired.

Attorney Dale Galipo filed the federal suit in downtown Los Angeles on behalf of the family, who also want a criminal charges to be filed against the officers responsible.

"If you don't have criminal prosecution in case where a video tape shows person's hands visible with nothing in their hands, like in the Beaird case, in the Conoscenti case, the question for many people is, what would it take?" Galipo said.

Jory Adamson, who had been Conoscenti’s partner for five years, also wants to see the police prosecuted for what he describes as a “perfect” crime.

However he is not holding out much hope following grand jury decisions in the Michael Brown and Eric Garner cases.

"They're going to get away with it. Missouri one grand jury, then New York grand jury, no indictment, no indictment, no indictment," Adamson said.

"So it's like, it’s a perfect way to kill someone to me :35 you just get away with it. Everybody's a bad guy except for them," he added.

...
However in LA County there has only been one officer prosecuted for an officer-involved shooting, and that was 14 year ago.

I disagree to a certain degree

In these times, black lives matter

I don't care if its a unarmed black man (Eric Garner) just standing on a street and getting strangled to death or a unarmed homeless white man (Kelly Thomas) being beaten and strangled to death or a Hispanic man (Frank Mendoza) being gunned down for simply trying to escape from a parolee that broke into his house, all lives matter and will continue to matter.

I cannot stand for this idea that a race of people's lives matter over another when gangs of psychos are going around killing everyone, these cops are killing people left and right and it needs to end. If you can't say that All Lives Matter then you've already lost because you've created racial division instead of addressing the problem with mentally ill, gang types within police departments murdering people.

These psycho cops love that some are making it about race instead of about them because they know when a black person gets killed, many whites sit and look the other way and when a white person gets killed many blacks sit and look the other way.

By the way #AllLivesMatter and #BlackLivesMatter while noble in many respects isnt a real goal, as along as police officers with psychological issues are employed within these departments, allowed to kill people with impunity and there isnt a screening process implemented to remove these police officers, no amount of protests, no amount of hash tags, no amount of "additional training", no amount of body cameras will change anything.

Lets not forget about the baby who was blown up in his crib because they didn't want someone they suspected of selling drugs, flushing it.

And lets not forget about the multiple women Fullerton Officer Albert Rincon sexually assaulted while on duty and the Orange County DA declined to press charges but the city settled with 2.

And lets not forget about the bicyclist who was ran over because Deputy Andrew Francis Wood in Los Angeles decided to work on his computer while driving.

They're not only shooting people, they're raping and seriously injuring them too.

Finally, let me remind you that while Mike Brown's murder wasn't captured on tape, Jason Conoscenti was. He was shot in the back multiple times and killed as he ran away from cops, you can see him writhing on the ground as he takes his final breaths.

His crime? Allegedly stealing from a Target store.

This is why I stand firm and say All Lives Matter.

Biased California D.A Mike Ramos defends Deputy during ongoing investigation into use of force death

This is not a police union head, a retired cop or a fellow cop, this is the man who is tasked with investigating and prosecuting use for force cases in his county.

So much for a unbiased and fair investigation.

This is the case he's referring to.

Dad Dies After Deputies Hit Him With Taser

A father of five died after he was involved in an altercation with deputies who suspected him of burglary.

The Victorville Daily Press reports that Dante Parker, 36, was suspected of attempting to burglarize a Victorville home on Tuesday afternoon.

The person who reported the burglary said the suspect fled on a bicycle and, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's office, Parker was seen riding his bike near the scene.

But a former co-worker of Parker's, who worked as a pressman for the Victoria Daily Press, tells the paper his fellow employee wouldn't steal from anybody.

"That whole story is totally wrong; that’s just not Dante,” Richard Loredo, a former Daily Press pressman who worked with Parker, said Wednesday. “Dante’s not a burglar ... You can see how well his kids were raised; he was a good dad. For the police department to portray him like that is ... unfair.”

NBC Los Angeles reports that, according to authorities, Parker resisted arrest and became "uncooperative and combative," according to police.

It was at that point that the female officer trying to apprehend Parker shocked him with a Taser "multiple times," according to a release obtained by the station.

Edit:

In the comment section of the same video there is a comment from a person going by the name Ernie Baker, claiming to be a member of the San Bernardino District Attorney's Bureau of Investigation.

Guess who is tasked with investigating use of force cases?

They are so blatant.

All lives matter!

We have groups of mentally ill, racist, rapist and gang member types in the ranks of police departments all around the country MURDERING citizens with impunity. It doesn't matter what your race or gender is, these people are equal opportunity killers who are being protected by the very institutions who are supposed to be protecting US from THEM.

This has to stop NOW!

Michael Nida - Unarmed shot multiple times in the back by a downey cop after he tried to run away

Douglas Zerby - Cops snuck up on him and blew him away without warning just because he was holding a water nozzle.

John Winkler - Stabbed then gunned down by deputies as he was trying to flee his attacker

Frank Mendoza - Gunned down by deputies as he was trying to flee an armed parolee that had just broke into his home

Brian Beaird - Gunned down by LAPD cops as he was surrendering with his hands up.

Jose de la Trinidad - Unarmed and shot 7 times in the back by deputies

Jason Conoscenti - Unarmed, shot multiple times in the back as he was running away. His murder was captured on video.

Levar Edward Jones - Gunned down as he was getting his ID. Thankfully he survived unlike the other cases.

Kelly Thomas - Unarmed, beaten and strangled to death as he cried out for his Dad. The two cops who did it were found not guilty.

Hans Kevin Arellano - Unarmed, shot in the chest after calling a female officer a bitch. His killing was captured on video.

Just to name a few...

ALL LIVES MATTER!

Police brutality is out of control.

Cop “For this fucking lunatic? I’m going to shoot him in the penis with a shotgun here in a second”

This is what the murderer of James Boyd, a homeless man said 2 hours before shooting him in the back multiple times.

Yet he still has a badge, gun and is still collecting a salary as we speak.

Watch the full video report and get the full transcript here

Civil rights attorney Shannon Kennedy represents Boyd’s family in a wrongful death suit against APD. Kennedy believes Sandy spelled out his intentions, then carried them out.

“Two hours later he's escalating the situation so he can do just that,” Kennedy said in an exclusive interview with 4 Investigates.

“It's chilling evidence and stunning that he has not been criminally indicted. He says to a state police officer ‘that f'ing lunatic, I'm going to shoot him in the penis. It's crystal clear and he says it with contempt in his voice.’”
In April, APD internal investigators asked Sandy about what he meant by the “shooting in the penis” comment. In an internal investigation transcript, sandy is quoted saying,

"Jokingly, just kind of locker room banter, just told him, you know, ‘Don’t worry. I’ll shoot him in the pecker with this and call it good.’”

But a few minutes later, the transcript shows that Sandy recanted his statement. The investigator asked, “Did you say anything to Chris Ware about shooting him in the pecker?”

Sandy responded, “I don’t…no, I don’t think I did.”

Is this sexual harassment?

0:04 "I'll find your muff, go ahead and take off. Shake yourself, do your muff dance (continued) ...You know thats why women should always wear dresses. So they can shake their muff out"

1:41 "Wow, Leo just commited sexual harassment of an employee live on air"

1:56 "I have gotten in trouble for sexual harassment many times"

3:18 "I'm an old man and I don't think I'm going to change"

3:40 "See this is the problem, is of course you say you don't mind because I could fire you if you said you minded, so that's why its sexual harassment"

This guy was also captured on video berating the same woman when she tried to give her opinion about a piece of the set

The man in both videos is Leo Laporte and he has a radioshow on KFI (a clearchannel station), he also runs a daily tech vlog called TWiT. Back in 2011 he was caught having an affair with an employee when he accidently showed his computer screen during a broadcast. He was married at the time.

[IMG][/IMG]

It seems he has issues with female employees but is the first video sexual harassment and were his comments offensive against women or victims of sexual harassment or is it just playful banter?
