Airplane loses power and makes emergency landing onto street in Northeast Portland Saturday

A small fixed-wing airplane lost power and made an emergency landing onto a street in Northeast Portland on Saturday, according to Portland Fire & Rescue.

The pilot and three passengers - a man, a woman and a young boy – were unharmed.

Officers at the Portland Police Bureau’s North Precinct responded to North Greeley Avenue at North Going Street after receiving reports that an airplane had landed on the street, causing no accidents. The street was closed Saturday afternoon while an investigation was conducted.

Asking for legal opinions on the situation in Portland

For anyone in the know, how likely is this approach to succeed?

https://www.oregonlive.com/news/2020/07/oregon-will-sue-federal-police-agencies-open-criminal-investigation-into-use-of-force.html

“ Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum announced late Friday that her office would sue several federal law enforcement agencies over their response to Portland protests and launch a criminal investigation into an incident of force by federal officers.

Rosenblum is seeking a temporary restraining order to stop federal officers from detaining Portlanders, arguing federal agencies seized and detained Oregonians without probable cause. She said the state’s lawsuit in federal court will name the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Marshals Service, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Federal Protection Service as defendants.”

Masks offer much more protection against coronavirus than many think

SAN FRANCISCO — There’s a common refrain that masks don’t protect you; they protect other people from your own germs, which is especially important to keep unknowingly infected people from spreading the coronavirus.
But now, there’s mounting evidence that masks also protect you.

If you’re unlucky enough to encounter an infectious person, wearing any kind of face covering will reduce the amount of virus that your body will take in.

As it turns out, that’s pretty important. Breathing in a small amount of virus may lead to no disease or far more mild infection. But inhaling a huge volume of virus particles can result in serious disease or death.

The Liar Tweets Tonight!

My doctor just told me I drink too much

WATER!!!

Who knew the guidelines had changed? I could not have been happier to get the news because I hate drinking water and have had to make myself get caught up on what I thought was the needed daily intake pretty late in the day. As a result, I have long been sleep-deprived as a result of having to get up every 1 - 2 1/2 hours a night.

Anyway, cheers!

Under oath would be nice.

Because right matters

and the truth matters, otherwise we’re lost.

There it is.
