Something happened on Georgia Avenue tonight, just about 6:30 pm! My husband and I were just returning home from Silver Spring, after visiting our daughter, her husband, their 6 year old daughter, and our brand new grand daughter. A police car came screaming behind us, hell bent for leather! Later, we found him planting flares to block the road. We had to take a detour through back roads to finally get back to Georgia Avenue just in time to reach Route 70 to get back to Frederick, about an hour and a half later than expected. Something big happened there. A long stretch of Georgia Avenue was blocked off!
