trump's Arpaio pardon should raise serious alarms for the Russia investigation

The larger and more overtly strategic message being conveyed by the president, however, has nothing to do with Arpaio. This abrupt decision, bereft of customary vetting and review by the Justice Department, almost certainly has everything to do with one matter alone: the ongoing investigation into alleged collusion between the president’s campaign and the Russian Government, and President Trump’s desire to allay the concerns of his erstwhile campaign associates.

Linton's Clueless Post has a dark side.

The right passed up the opportunity to side with someone who represents the working and middle class that Donald Trump's campaign supposedly championed against the arrogance of the entitled rich. Instead this encounter is another piece of evidence that we can now put a bullet in the idea that most people who voted for Donald Trump did so because of economic insecurity; for many, it's clearly about a more complex, ugly form of political and racial tribalism.

The response from the right (or lack thereof) to Linton's outburst is more evidence that the 2016 election wasn't just about white working-class voters feeling unrepresented by out-of-touch elites. It was also about a group of Americans who don't care one iota about character or honesty or even reality, but do care about sticking it to liberals and creating chaos for fun -- because liberals, and the people increasingly benefiting from the changing political order, are women and people of color.

This is a good read.

Absolutely Brilliant

Another Donald lie: Heather Heyer's mom

I could be wrong, but I distinctly remember he said he had spoken to her. More bluster and hyperbole.

WikiLeaks rejected documents on Russia during election

WikiLeaks reportedly refused a massive cache of documents concerning the Russian government during the 2016 election season.

“We had several leaks sent to WikiLeaks, including the Russian hack. It would have exposed Russian activities and shown WikiLeaks was not controlled by Russian security services,” an unidentified source told Foreign Policy in a report published Thursday.

WikLeaks published vast archives of emails related to the Hillary Clinton campaign in the months leading up to the election. U.S. intelligence agencies believe those emails were stolen by hackers from their Russian counterparts in an effort to help elect President Trump.

Meme it. Meme it good.

WHAT????? DOJ requesting info on anti trump site visitors.

Dreamhost, a web hosting provider, said that it has been working with the Department of Justice for several months on the request, which believes goes too far under the Constitution.

DreamHost claimed that the complying with the request from the Justice Department would amount to handing over roughly 1.3 million visitor IP addresses to the government, in addition to contact information, email content and photos of thousands of visitors to the website, which was involved in organizing protests against Trump on Inauguration Day.

As seen on Facebook again

"Yesterday a woman was killed by a Nazi on American soil and trump claimed both were to blame."

As seen on Facebook.

"I can't believe I just watched an American president choose his words carefully so as not to offend the klan and Nazis."
