Truman didn't look

too comfortable with the shotgun. But maybe it was just bad timing as to when the picture was snapped.

That's good that you don't live in fear...

...but you take reasonable precautions. You have dogs that alert you of trouble an alarm system for when you are gone. I assume you lock your doors and have a phone in your bedroom at night.
All reasonable things to do.

Some people, myself included, take an extra precaution and have a weapon in the bedroom (pistol, shotgun, etc). It doesn't mean we live in fear either.

What did you call Feinstein and Reid?

Huh?

"i guess those bloated high school football programs will be taking a hit....."

Except that in most localities the football program is the only sport that has a positive cash flow.

How does this women in combat plan work?

(I posted this in GD but never got a response, hoping for an answer here)

I haven't seen a complete description of it yet. It seems like a no brainer to have women fighter and helicopter pilots. But I heard something about women soldiers and marines must pass some type of physical standard. What is that standard and what percentage of women are likely to pass it? I'm wondering if this is like the NFL saying "we will allow women to play" but then the standard being such that no woman could do it.

From the History Channel Modern Marvels on railroads

Just a random fact they threw out: between 1890 and 1917 250,000 railroad workers died on the job. Boogles the mind.

I think this is one of those

"careful what you wish for" things. Eventually Republicans will be back in control of the senate and we will be happy that a Democrat senator will be able to stop their nonsense with the threat of a filibuster then.

But you are afraid...

....you said so. You're afraid of guns and the proliferation of guns.

Well let me give you some advise

on that subject.
