About Me

I joined DU following the election melt down that produced the second George the Lesser Term of Office. I am outraged by war, by out-sourcing of jobs, by Corporate control of both parties, and enheartened by my fellow citizens who are bravely part of "Occupy!"

OH please, enough with the party-approved canned messages.

The fact that someone other than a Sanders supporter is saying something, doesn't make the Sanders supporter any less right in proclaiming their statement.

The sun does rise in the East. And whether it is a Sanders supporter or a Fox news analyst or Dennis Miller saying it, it is true.

The exit polls in both Missouri and Illinois showed us Sanders supporters exactly how carefully a rigged game it is.

There is a science to exit polls and how to apply them, and in both those states, decent voting analysts are saying the same thing.

Since quite a few Bernie supporters understand the mess Clinton accomplished in Syria -

I thought I would post this:

Several months ago, I watched the PBS hour report on Syria, and was amazed to find that it is not uncommon for a person to physically become a fighter for first one side and then the other. Also, people in Syria seem to believe that the USA, Israel and Saudi Arabia have put together the money and weaponry to get ISIS/ISIL into existence.

So although I have known that the situation there is complex, I have never really understood how any mere human could explain the various in's and out's, until I went over to blackagenda report earlier to day.

And it is not simply that it is so complex - it is that the way the various alliances could play out that might force us into World War III, complete with utter devastation for all of us.

The US Supreme Court is quite conservative.

And on some issues, the Republican Justices have sometimes been more liberal than the Democrats.

When it came to "eminent domain" issues that were being used to grab a senior citizen's lower middle incomed home away from her so that a Country Club could go in, the R's on the court voted for the woman, while the Democrats voted against.

Same with the issue of medicinal marijuana. (Though that may finally be changing.)

Anyway if you really want a US Supreme Court that is not favoring Monsanto and Big Gm food and seed issues over Americans right to eat healthy, non-organ destroying foods, if you want to preserve your home from Country Clubs, if you want to end the stranglehold that the damn Big Banks and Big Military have on this nation, getting a HRC in won't help. (And she has always been against medicinal
marijuana. It was her husband who signed the papers ending the employment and seizing the Social Security Assets of major med marijuana activist Lynnette Shaw)

To have a SCOTUS that stands by and for and with the middle class, it has to be a progressive in the Oval Office.

No it is not wishful thinking.

Those of us who analyze the situation from the democratic notion that the two Big Dino Parties should not be selecting the candidates for the rest of us understand one pertinent fact: we know full well that Bernie would be able to win the general election due to the fact that he has so much support from that segment of the population that is alienated from the Two Major Parties. (What has often been referred to as the One Big Money Party.)

I often hear statistics from the Hillary Clinton group here on DU to the effect that HRC is supported by 68% or 72% of the Democratic Party voters.

But since that party now only represents some 34% of all Americans (if you do the math) then you can see why we are sticking by Bernie Sanders.

68% of 34% = 23% of the electorate.

Is this Democracy - to cram a candidate down our throats with only 23% of the entire population liking her?!?

Does it matter? THE whole situation with the Primaries is a farce.

The largest block of American voters is the non-affiliated, currently numbering at 40%

So why do the Two Major Dino Parties get to choose who gets to run in the Autumn of 2016?

Talk about a corrupt and crooked situation, but it certainly is exactly what the One Percent desire
