The NOPD is searching for a woman who can be seen on surveillance video flashing a gun at a Bourbon Street daiquiri shop. (Scroll down to view the video.)

Police say early Sunday morning around 2:30, an employee "an unknown black female reaching over the counter and helping herself to a daiquiri." When the employee confronted her, investigators say the woman "became belligerent, produced a handgun and threatened to shoot the victim."

A police spokesman says the suspect is in her middle to late 20s with long black hair and possibly pregnant, wearing a red shirt and large gold earrings. One of the males that accompanied her is described as wearing a black and grey ball cap, a black polo style shirt.

Mum-of-two Julia Caples is a real-life vampire - who drinks almost two litres of blood a month from willing human donors.

The 45-year-old has been sucking blood for over 30 years while bringing up her two children, Alexi, 11 and Ariel, 24.

Care-­worker Julia 'hunts' for willing 'donors' -­fellow vampire fans willing to let Julia drink from them -­at her local occult and oddities store.

During drinking sessions at her Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania home, Julia carefully cuts them with a pagan-­like sterilised knife she designed herself.

She believes that guzzling down the the lifeblood from others keeps her feeling young and vigorous -­just like ageless vampires from cult movies.

Karlsson, who plies his trade as chef at Speceriet in central Stockholm, won with his creation entitled "Tarte flambé à la Karlsson".

The young Stockholmer beat off the challenge of Frida Ceveryd from Stantons in Varberg and Adem Tokmak from Vapiano to win the finals held at Kungsträdgården in central Stockholm on Wednesday.

Ceveryd competed with "Horseradish luxury" and Tokmark produced "Vitello con Ruccola".

The finalists were selected after a countrywide search for the best candidates and were instructed to make their speciality pizza as well as a more orthodox recipe.

The jury was led by Myllymäki, runner-up in the world chef championships, and Tom Sjöstedt, winner of chef of the year 2008. The panel was completed by 2011 pizza champ Tony Gerasovski and international celebrity chef Michel Arvblom.

Literally faster than the eye could follow, an unusual object was accidentally photographed above the landmark Muiderslot Castle in the Netherlands.

On May 25, Corinne Federer and her mother visited the medieval castle, built in 1285 near Amsterdam. Federer, a supply chain manager for adidas in Amsterdam, and an avid photographer, was shooting High Dynamic Range, or HDR, photos of the castle.

"In order to create HDR images, you take three or more exposures -- this one happened to be five -- and you shoot them all at the same time, because you then overlap the images and it gives you the full spectrum of light, which your camera can't capture but your eyes can," Federer, 43, told The Huffington Post in an exclusive interview.

In New York City, $10 can get you four subway rides, three slices of pizza, five cups of coffee, or lunch for a day or two. There's no way, however, that it can get you a home in Manhattan, where the average cost of renting an apartment is $3,418 a month. Or can it?

Jupiter 21 is a newly built 12-story, 65-unit residential development at 21 E. First St. in the East Village. Thanks to BFC Partners, the developers of Jupiter 21, nine residents are now owners of units that could easily be rented out for thousands a month, and all it cost them was $10 each, some patience, and finding a temporary living space for a couple of years.

BFC wanted to get rid of the apartments above the now demolished legendary Mars Bar, and in return, long-time residents displaced by construction were the lucky few to get the $10 deal. The apartments were also purchased tax-free. As part of the deal, residents can't resell the apartments for a profit, but they can rent them out. The agreement was made a couple of years ago.

Joseph Ferrara of BFC said, "If it wasn't for the existing residents that were living in a very dilapidated building prior to us constructing Jupiter 21, we would never have a project at this location. We felt we owed it to them to replace their home with a brand new, modern apartment in a building that is being well-received into the community. We hope the existing and new residents thrive in their new environments and enjoy all the amenities that Jupiter 21 has to offer."

Rand Paul planning class action lawsuit against surveillance programs

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said Sunday that he plans to file a class action lawsuit against the Obama administration for its “unconstitutional” surveillance programs.

On “Fox News Sunday,” Paul said he wants to get the support of 10 million Americans.

“I’m going to be seeing if I can challenge this at the Supreme Court level,” Paul said, according to a rush transcript. “I’m going to be asking all the Internet providers and all of the phone companies, ask your customers to join me in a class action lawsuit. If we get 10 million Americans saying we don’t want our phone records looked at, then somebody will wake up and say things will change in Washington.”

Paul noted that public outcry over two pieces of legislation that raised Internet privacy concerns — known as SOPA and PIPA — proved very successful.

Commuters on a train line in northern Stockholm were met with an unusual sight this week: male train drivers and conductors wearing skirts to work.

Train driver Martin Akersten says he and more than a dozen others at the Roslagsbanan line have started wearing skirts in the summer as a protest against the train company's uniform policy, which doesn't allow shorts.

The 30-year-old Akersten said Sunday the response from customers has been only positive. While they may get alot of stares, none of them have gotten negative comments.

Trooper James Wharton went to find the Prince – who was his tank commander -after the six soldiers threatened to “batter” him.

The third-in-line to the throne confronted the men and told them they would face severe discipline if they continued to make threats, he said.

Trooper Wharton describes the Prince as "one of my greatest protectors", and claims that his acceptance of his homosexuality made him realise that he was right to be open about it, despite an attack which left him hospitalised.

Trooper Wharton went to find the Prince and tearfully told him "I think I'm going to be murdered by the infantry,” the Mail on Sunday reported.

As he explained what had happened Harry had a “complete look of bewilderment” on his face and responded: “Right I'm going to sort this ---- out once and for all."

A naked man was busted having sex with his dog by students who filmed the seedy encounter on their cell phones, police said.

The boys were walking to Denby High School, in Detroit on Tuesday morning when they spotted the mid-30-year-old allegedly making out with his pit bull mix.

Cops were called after they showed the sick footage to school security.

Officers arrived to find the suspect sitting naked on the ground behind two vacant homes, cuddling his pooch.

An FBI agent almost shot a Detroit cop on Wednesday at a gas station while filling up. It wasn't the agent or the cop's fault. It was the cop's bosses, who came up with the lame brain idea to simulate a purse snatching and then invite a TV crew to film your reaction Detroit. The immediate supervisor of these cops had no idea this was happening until they called him.

"The event takes place. The officer takes the purse, runs around the gas station. As he's running, an off-duty FBI agent is pumping gas. He witnesses the whole thing. He gives chase. He pulls his weapon, and as he turns the corner around the gas station, he's stopped by another officer, who identifies herself as a police officer and don't shoot, don't shoot, this is a scenario," said Inspector Shawn Gargalino with the Detroit Police Department.

That is the same description of events we got from four other ranking law enforcement officials, including Lieutenant Chuck Flannagan, a 28-year veteran of DPD.
