"SNIP......

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) told reporters that if Republicans win control of the House of Representatives in 2022, he will push to have Donald Trump installed as Speaker, Rolling Stone reports.

Gaetz added that he has spoken to Trump about the possibility of making him Speaker.

......SNIP"

Republicans so don't want Trump to run for President. And they so don't want congress to implement any policies. Then again maybe it is a bait and switch to get MAGA out to vote in the midterms?

My late brother got shown that Laffer napkin trick when he was

at Harvard in the early to mid 1980s by Laffer himself. He and his friends had just read Ayn Rand. I think they trucked Laffer out to do the napkin trick everywhere where young people could be influenced. Didn't work. My brother got into an incident with anti-union forces at his university in Japan. Some anti-union stooge tried to get him, an English teacher, to sign something in Japanese. My brother, a union organizer there, could not read Japanese and suspected something. He grabbed the contract and the stooge grabbed my brothers book bag. My brother would not trade. He wanted to get the contract translated. Sure enough it was an attempt to get my brother to agree to be fired if he did any union organizing. Thankfully the courts in Japan take a dislike to ruining union organizing... or at least the laws there do. He sued the guy who took his bag. He had a sec to decide what was more important and union won out. They fired him anyways. Fortunately he had other Universities to teach at.

My mom was private about her politics. It was very personal to her. She hated gerrymandering in the US. I know that much. My Dad was the one who talked politics every day. They had election parties. They lived in the bureaucratic enclave in Ottawa so everyone was informed. Still my dad and 19 year old me got snowed into voting for Conservative Mulroney. I realized the error of my ways and never voted for them again.

Crossing my fingers. I do notice that Republicans are signalling

that Ommicron is a bad Democratic thing. So if they are using scapegoats that means they maybe won't be trying to spread it? So hopefully they are not going to be so insistent on it spreading like DeSantis, Abbot and Kenney(Alberta) were. Kenney at one point allowed people newly tested positive with Covid to go out and walk around/mix in the general population right away. He had to back down after an outcry. So I'm crossing my fingers that these henious men and their party realize they are on the wrong side of a wedge issue. It cost the Conservatives the recent election in Canada. The suburbs in Toronto shut them out. Anyhow I guess the story is Democrats are responsible for it developing it in Southern Africa. Even though it was Trump who pulled out of The Woorld Health Organization. I wish them the best of luck in threading that needle. (Seriously I hope they are successful in getting MAGAs to follow all mandates on Covid).

Later:

Oops I was wrong. Congressman Dr. Ronnie Jackson came out and said Democrats are responsible for the fear about Omicron in order to force people to vote by mail in the midterms and have Democrats steal that election. So they are joining the conspiracy together to form a Meta conspiracy theory. I guess they were signaling a change. Flynn came out and said Democrats would be responsible for the next dangerous virus before the news of Omicron broke. It took them a few days to decide what the conspiracy theory was going to be.

So is he now anti-covid? That is novel. You heard it here first:

Republicans are flipping on being against mandates. They must be losing too many voters to death. Seems they are busy 'seeding' the flip. I wonder what De Santis will say. Last week it was Flynn saying democrats were responsible for the next awful virus. Somehow he will rope omicron to Democrats. Whether they allow mandates or not they are going to blame Democrats for omicron.

May the moderates and Trump humpers form an increasingly wedged

apart Republican Party. In Canada the Trump humpers will not accept not being catered to during the election so when the Conservative leader tried to tack to the center during the election he had to constantly, and loudly, fluff his conservative Trump loving base. The result he constantly speaks out of both sides of his mouth. That angers centrists and motivates liberals to vote as he looks like and is a hypocrite. That is one thing about populist voters.... they constantly need to be fed.

I empathize. That my thing. Sometimes I empathize for a second with the creepiest

of Republicans and it scares the hell out of me. That makes me a liberal and sometimes progressive. I run an mri on things you could say. Plus I grew up in a liberal family. Voted for the progressive conservatives in my first election because I was naive. Since then it has either been liberal or NDP, who would both be considered centre left in the US, with the NDP more socialist.

Elevating agents of chaos like Rittenhouse and his gun to hero

status is about setting a Libertarian America in stone.

November 24, 2021

The crueler America becomes, the more its capacity for libertarianism grows. 'If you build it they

will come'.

“America has given up on what almost every other democracy would now be trying to do – find common ground to stop horrific things from happening.“

Let the trolling begin:

Seriously, pro Beto OPs seem to attract right wing talking point trolls, proving without a doubt that Beto is the candidate they fear most.

Since Rittenhouse has shooting induced PTSD should he be banned

from owning a gun? It might pour water on the vigilantes who think they should police the US, their vision of it (Van Jones, AC 360), without a badge.
