Bernie Sanders Is Performing Stronger Than The Media Is Letting On.

Per Firebrand Left:

Bernie Sanders Isn’t As Far Behind As You Think He Is

206. That’s the difference between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders in delegates. Clinton’s lead is anything but “insurmountable,” and with most Southern States behind us, it’s a lead that any quasi-competent analyst will tell you is expected to shrink in the next few weeks… if it isn’t overrun entirely, of course.

If you ask anyone in the media, however, they’ll present you with a completely different number: 655, a much bigger chunk of the 2,382 delegates needed to win. That’s a far greater gap between Sanders and Clinton, and when you hear that number, your faith in Sanders’ ability to win fades away faster than your faith in humanity while seeing what’s happening at Trump rallies.

There’s just one problem with that second number: It’s total bulls–t.

The Media Has Picked Their Favorite Horses

Some of you might be wondering why the media is painting a totally different picture from reality. Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton are in a virtual dead-heat, with Clinton’s lead being minuscule at best. The primary has only barely just begun, too. So why are so many media outlets reporting otherwise?

There are many theories circulating the web, but I like to think mine makes the most sense: those media outlets have spent the past several years telling us Clinton was a shoe-in for 2016, and they don’t want to be proven wrong. Clinton is also a controversy-magnet; a Hillary Clinton presidency would surely generate some great breaking news headlines over the next four to eight years, as she leapfrogs from one scandal (invented by the right-wing or otherwise) to the next, as she always has.

CNN has been the worst of the lot. Their coverage of the 2016 democratic primary has been anything but objective: they clearly have a bias for Clinton, to the point where some have taken up calling them the Clinton News Network. Time Warner, the corporation that owns CNN, has gone so far as to make sizable contributions to Clinton’s campaign, so they aren’t even trying to hide their affections, either.

When anyone runs for public office, some things should not matter.

In my mind, these include:

1. Age

2. Sex

3. Skin color/ethnicity

What does matter includes their honesty, ability to think on their feet, ability to see global issues clearly and so on...

Just my two cents!

Trump must not be allowed anywhere near the White House.

Especially as the Republicans' nominee.

If he's their nominee, that's just too damn close for comfort for me.

He is just the wildest card possible.

This video is so good that I had to bring it over from Facebook. Time for goosebumps.

I just ran across this article on Facebook and thought it worth posting.

Eric Hensal was a close friend of WCGreen.

A new campaign video from Bernie Sanders:

I found this on Facebook. I don't know if the link is liberal or not.

The first four paragraphs:

I think we can all agree that the GOP is terrible at governing. Also, their ideas are lousy. Their economic plans are fantasy-based and have repeatedly been proven not to work; their views on social issues are antiquated and cruel and play to an ever-shrinking base; their denial of scientific evidence is dangerous and becoming more and more difficult to peddle, and their knowledge of international affairs is embarrassingly skimpy.

Since the facts don’t work for them, they have to bolster their electoral prospects with the things they are really good at: creating propaganda and dirty tricks. From framing issues, to presenting a unified messaging front to working under the radar to spending their money in secretive ways, the GOP knows how to distort the truth and spread their message.

They have applied these skills to a years-long, expensive, sophisticated, insidious game to bait the left into believing and delivering their anti-Clinton message. And it’s working pretty darn well.

When Mitt Romney lost the election, the GOP looked at the potential field of Democratic candidates, and determined that Hillary Clinton was most likely to be the Democratic choice for 2016. Beginning then, a number of conservative groups, including American Crossroads–created by Karl Rove–and America Rising, set to work to develop messaging that would damage her with voters on the left.

The effort to vilify Mrs. Clinton could ultimately cost several hundred million dollars, given the variety and volume of political organizations involved.

I have been reading over on DU2--Specifically, my bookmarked posts.

And I ran into a problem.

When I got to the Lounge section, the bookmarked posts were nowhere to be seen. The list just stopped. All the other forums are there.

I realize DU2 is not a priority for you, but I do like to read my old posts now and then.

I hope you can help. It would mean quite a lot to me, being a sentimental person.

This video is a compilation of 30 years of speeches by Bernie Sanders. It is worth watching.

Beware the anger of a patient man is the saying that comes to me now. Bernie has been very patient--40 years worth of patience. Now he's angry and now is his time, and ours.
