TRUMP IS COMMITTING 'FELONY BRIBERY' BY GIVING FUNDRAISING CASH TO GOP SENATORS

AHEAD OF IMPEACHMENT TRIAL: EX-BUSH ETHICS LAWYER

Attorney Richard Painter, who served as the chief White House ethics lawyer in the George W. Bush administration, warned on Thursday that President Donald Trump appeared to be committing "felony bribery" by giving Republican senators fundraising cash ahead of an increasingly likely impeachment trial in the Senate.

The lawyer shared an article published by Politico on Thursday morning. Titled "Trump lures GOP senators on impeachment with cold cash," the article outlined how the president is turning to his large network of donors to raise funds for a few senators facing difficult re-election campaigns in 2020. All of those senators have also signed a resolution condemning the Democratic-led impeachment inquiry.

"This is a bribe. Any other American who offered cash to the jury before a trial would go to prison for felony bribery. But he can get away with it?" Painter, a law professor at the University of Minnesota, wrote on Twitter. "Criminal."

I don't know if this is legal or not, but it certainly doesn't look good.

(Sorry for the all-caps. That's the way it was written on the website.)

Has anyone cooked a venison neck roast? I have been told that they are one

of the most flavorful cuts, but I've never cooked one. A coworker is bringing me one from a deer he got over the weekend.

My plan so far is to use my cast iron Dutch oven. I'll brown it well, add a braising liquid and put it in the oven at 325F until tender and then add potatoes, carrots, onions etc. like I would for beef pot roast.

Any suggestions? I'm thinking about using beer for liquid.

He photoshopped (and a bad one at that) the dog because it's unlikely he would get close to one for real.

Papadopoulos seeks seat vacated by Rep. Katie Hill

George Papadopoulos, a former Trump campaign aide who was a key figure in the FBI's Russia probe, filed paperwork Tuesday to run for the U.S. House seat being vacated by Democrat Katie Hill.

Papadopoulos didn't immediately comment, but on Sunday he tweeted, "I love my state too much to see it run down by candidates like Hill. All talk, no action, and a bunch of sellouts."

-----------

Papadopoulos, meanwhile, was a key figure in the FBI's Russia probe into ties between Russia and the Trump campaign.

The FBI's counterintelligence investigation that later became the Mueller probe was triggered, in part, from a tip from an Australian diplomat who had communicated with Papadopoulos. Papadopoulos told the diplomat, Alexander Downer, in May 2016 that Russia had thousands of stolen emails that would be potentially damaging to Hillary Clinton.

So, a convicted felon is trying to win a Congressional seat by taking the moral high ground.

I'm watching Judy Woodruff interview Mike Pence on PBS NewsHour.

I admire her self control. He is such a condescending prick. Nothing but lies and sidestepping the facts. I would have found it difficult to refrain from throttling him.

You can watch it here:

Maybe this has been posted before. If it has, it's still worth a second look.

Can someone explain to me why people won't evacuate when an explosive wildfire is coming their way?

I'm watching a reporter standing on a highway, bracing himself against a strong wind with the glow of the wildfire behind him talking about people in the path of the fire who are not following a mandatory evacuation order.

What are they thinking?

Let me see if I have this straight. Bill Barr is globetrotting on the taxpayers dime asking

foreign governments to help him dig up dirt on the FBI regarding the investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 election because Obama was spying on Trump's campaign.

My head is spinning. I feel like I'm living in an episode of The Twilight Zone.
