Read Every Politician’s Deleted Tweets

Read Every Politician’s Deleted Tweets

For as long as there have been politicians, there have been politicians trying desperately to cover up their mistakes—and in the Twitter age, censorship can happen as rapidly as a gaffe. Not anymore—a new site saves deletions forever.

Politwoops, a project by The Sunlight Foundation, a pro-transparency group, is all about preserving fuckups. Errors, embarrassments, misclicks—the stuff that, for whatever reason, a politician doesn't want you to read on Twitter. The site scrapes the accounts of every pol with a Twitter account (and everyone currently or formerly running for the presidency) and updates whenever they try to hide something.

Although most of the expurgated tweets are minor, some of them are certainly not: say, Chuck Grassley's stunning period of lucidity while hacked, or moronic Congressman Jeff Miller questioning Obama's citizenship. Politwoops will also tell you how long the tweet survived before being caught—a pretty impressive display of just how tightly these people monitor their "presences" online. You might think of Twitter as the window into the soul of your senator, if he has one, but for the most part it's as choreographed as any photo op or ribbon cutting. Maybe they'll start to take it more seriously—and more personally—now that there's a way for the whole world to watch every twitch and calculation.

Four-Year-Old Sings ‘Ain’t No Homos Going To Make It To Heaven’ – Receives Standing Ovation (VIDEO)

As a child in a small town, I remember making the mistake of reciting a particularly racist version of ‘eenie meenie miney moe’ in front of my father. It was one of the only times I saw my normally reticent father be driven to anger. Despite the fact that I was only about four or five, and despite the fact that I had no idea what the words I repeated meant, I quickly learned they were wrong and I even understood why. In that moment, I grew. It helped form me as an adult.

A four-year-old boy in Indiana also learned a lesson. He learned that singing about sending ‘homos’ to hell earns him a standing ovation in his church, the Apostolic Truth Tabernacle in Greensburg, IN. He learned that there are people on this earth, even though he undoubtedly doesn’t understand exactly which people, who are hated by God and should therefore be hated by him. He learned that when he gets older, it will be okay to bully kids for being different, because the adults in his life ordain it; his church ordains it; God ordains it. In a short song, in just a few minutes of time, the boy learned that hate was okay. The lesson will follow him.

Here’s the video:

Someone beat me to this one...

An Atheist's Speech for Christians (Todd Stiefel at Rock Beyond Belief)

This speech is specifically directed towards Christians so that they can better understand what atheists and humanists stand for. If you are a freethinker and have family/friends that do not understand what we believe and what we work for, feel free to share this video with them. Recorded at Fort Bragg, NC, March 31, 2012 during Rock Beyond Belief. Thanks to Ed Brayton for the great introduction. Special thanks to Scott Burdick and his team for the video footage. Cancer battle won't keep Candye Kane from performing at Simi Valley's Cajun & Blues Music Festival

Getting the blues in Simi Valley could be the realization that the nearest Nordstrom is in Canoga Park, or perhaps that only nine cops live on your street. But the place to be for some real blues, not to mention a free geography lesson when Simi Valley becomes the westernmost parish in "the Bayou State," is the 23rd annual Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Music Festival at Rancho Santa Susana Community Park on Saturday and Sunday. The headliner and party-ender Sunday night is Candye Kane, glad to be anywhere considering the alternative.

Kane is a cancer survivor — specifically, neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer. The survival rate is equivalent to that of the extra "Star Trek" crewmen who beam down to uncharted planets with Kirk and Spock. This is Kane's second round with this particular form of cancer, and following surgery on May 2, she's set to make a remarkably speedy return to performing.

She recently posted on her Facebook page that "the surgery was successful in that my pancreatic duct is unclogged." However, she will need radiation therapy for "an inoperable very tiny tumor on my mesenteric artery."

Not only is Kane lucky and tough, she also has a lot of friends — a pair of sold-out shows in Burbank and Solana Beach helped to raise some funds for medical and living expenses. Musicians might be flakes who cannot tell time, but they make magic with their international language — music — and are always ready to help someone in need, especially one of their own.

Candye Kane's performance Sunday will be her first since having cancer surgery on May 2. "I might be a little fragile, so I may have to do the show sitting down, but we'll see," she says.

Man Admitted to Hospital for Kidney Stone, Discovers He's a Woman

"When I was about 6 years old, I started having these feminine feelings, but that was in the '60s. Wearing my mom's makeup, I thought I looked pretty," Crecelius told ABC News.

So when he went to the emergency room five years ago, he wasn't too shocked when the nurse told him she found traits of both genders in his ultrasound results.

He was intersex, meaning he had both male genitalia and internal female sex organs.

"The nurse is reading the ultrasound and says, 'Huh, this says you're a female,' Crecelius said. "It was very liberating. I had spent so much energy after the age of 13 constantly evaluating how people looked at me and acted towards me."

The XXX actress has two young sons with Ultimate Fighting champ Tito Ortiz

Porn queen Jenna Jameson reportedly wrapped around a pole this morning - but instead of tips, she got a trip to jail.

The XXX actress hit a light pole with her car around 1:30 a.m. and was taken into custody for suspicion of drunken driving, TMZ.com reported.

Jameson, 38, sustained minor injuries in the crash but refused medical treatment, according to the website.

She was booked after she showed signs of intoxication and purportedly flunked a field sobriety test, TMZ said.

Girl Scouts: Not just cookies. We want science!

Girl Scouts: Not just cookies. We want science!

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Girl Scouts are now getting more of what they want...and it's not just cookies.

It's actually science, technology, engineering and math, the so-called STEM fields.

A recent Girl Scout Research Institute study showed that 74% of high school girls are interested in STEM. But few girls pursue careers in these areas, in part because many think they'd have to work harder than men to be taken seriously.

Leaders of the Girl Scouts aim to change this by ramping up the troops' exposure to STEM, both through activities and interactions with women working in these fields.

Girl Scouts' Amelia Steeger teaches children about alternative energy. She's interested in a STEM career.
