ďIf Iíve lost Cronkite, Iíve lost Middle America.Ē

No offense to Katie Couric, Brian Williams, and whoever is anchoring the news at ABC right now (Diane Sawyer? Really?), but itís hard to imagine any of them saying anything that would help lead a president of the United States to consider leaving office. But thatís what happened 42 years ago tonight, when CBS Nightly News anchor Walter Cronkite concluded a special broadcast on the recent Tet Offensive with a rare, brief, and potent editorial suggesting that America cease fighting the Vietnam War.
That evening, the highly-respected and influential Cronkite said:
To say that we are closer to victory today is to believe, in the face of the evidence, the optimists who have been wrong in the past. To suggest we are on the edge of defeat is to yield to unreasonable pessimism. To say that we are mired in stalemate seems the only realistic, yet unsatisfactory, conclusion. On the off chance that military and political analysts are right, in the next few months we must test the enemyís intentions, in case this is indeed his last big gasp before negotiations. But it is increasingly clear to this reporter that the only rational way out then will be to negotiate, not as victors, but as an honorable people who lived up to their pledge to defend democracy, and did the best they could.
President Lyndon Johnson, watching live in the White House, reportedly then turned to aides and said, ďIf Iíve lost Cronkite, Iíve lost Middle America.Ē

So far this week Clinton has lost Time.com, USA Today, and others...

I feel certain we can easily child-proof gorilla cages

But after the unwatched child climbs under the fence no fair complaining when he is knocked unconscious by the electricity in the secondary wire barrier.

She's just a girl whose intentions are good...

Oh Lord, please don't let her be misunderstood.......

So if Hillary is elected

...will she agree to have a password on the nuclear football or do we all spend her presidency worrying about her triggering Armegeddon by accidentally wiping a "Go" button, like with a cloth???

I have an alternative thesis

Keeping in mind that this may just be a piece of the motive-it's 3 days before a round of primaries and the suspicion is that Sanders will romp in Oregon and It will be a toss-up in Kentucky. If Sanders and Clinton split the narrative continues that it is all over but the shouting. But if Bernie manages to snag both the morning headlines are all about insurgent momentum.

Can you picture a better way to tip the critical Kentucky primary 1 or 2 percentage points than all day coverage of "Socialist Riots" in the Nevada Caucuses? From nowhere a single blogger (who later admits he wasn't even in the room when the supposed riot occurs) is picked up by AP and spreads virus like throughout the mainstream and dominates media coverage for the last critical 48 hours? Remember that the story began to fall apart the day after the primary.

Maybe a Bernie win in Kentucky was what Barbara Boxer and the party were willing to lie to prevent.

Linda Tripp, now 65, was a civil servant who had a ringside seat during Clinton's administration with office directly adjacent to Hillary's
She exposed President Clinton affair with Monica because it was the culmination of years of so much corruption
Although she was vilified for her role in the scandal, she breaks years of silence to tell Daily Mail Online she would do it again
During the bimbo eruptions Hillary 'destroyed women so that their stories never saw the light of day,' Tripp says
She went from being a lackluster First Lady with unimpressive approval numbers to First Victim
Hillary will stop at nothing to achieve her end - the Presidency - and see the public as plebians easily seduced into believing her, says Tripp

With Trump alledging rape this article is very timely...

I've been reading about Jane Sanders and that college...

Thank God the Clintons never got involved in real estate deals.....

Sound familiar?

A Yale educated lawyer, married to a Yale educated lawyer, represented by more than adequate legal counsel is cleared because while she made false statements, perhaps she was naive when giving testimony...

Hillary Clinton gradually came under scrutiny for allegedly having played a central role in XXXXX and making false statements about her role in it. In 20XX, XXXXX Counsel XXXXXXXX issued his final report on XXXXXXX. He sought no charges against her, saying that while some of Clinton's statements were factually false, there was insufficient evidence that these statements were either knowingly false or that she understood that her statements led to the firings.

Watkins memo also said "we both know that there would be hell to pay" if "we failed to take swift and decisive action in conformity with the First Lady's wishes."[39] This memo contradicted the First Lady's previous statements in the GAO investigation, that she had played no role in the firings and had not consulted with Thomason beforehand

More of the same to come...
