Trump's $300 Million SPAC Deal May Have Skirted Securities Laws

https://dnyuz.com/2021/10/29/trumps-300-million-spac-deal-may-have-skirted-securities-laws/

Just days after Donald J. Trump left the White House, two former contestants on his reality show, “The Apprentice,” The Apprentice,” approached him with a pitch. Wes Moss and Andy Litinsky wanted to create a conservative media giant.

Mr. Trump was taken with the idea. But he had to figure out how to pay for it.

This month, the former president found a way. He agreed to merge his social media venture with what’s known as a special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC. The result is that Mr. Trump — largely shut out of the mainstream financial industry because of his history of bankruptcies and loan defaults — secured nearly $300 million in funding for his new business.

To get his deal done, Mr. Trump ventured into an unregulated and sometimes shadowy corner of Wall Street, working with an unlikely cast of characters: the former “Apprentice” contestants, a small Chinese investment firm and a little-known Miami banker named Patrick Orlando.

No mention of Biden's drop in the polls? Not even a

polls don't mean anything"?
Or
"that "pollster's a right winger" ???
Or
"don't be so obsessed with polls"
Or "
"what do you want Biden to fail? Polls go up and down"

We are in the right ( as always). Personally I'm hoping that once some legislation gets passed the polls will turn around?

What do we need to do?

Texas sues the Biden administration over federal COVID-19 vaccine mandates

Texas sues the Biden administration over federal COVID-19 vaccine mandates
BY JAMES POLLARD2 HOURS AGO

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and Gov. Greg Abbott have been at war with locals and federal officials over vaccinate mandates. Earlier this month, Abbott expanded an executive order to block the requirement for any entity in Texas, including health care facilities and private businesses.

The lawsuit alleges the Biden administration acted unconstitutionally in drafting the vaccine mandate policy. Attorney General Ken Paxton, on behalf of the state, sued the Biden administration on Friday over its coronavirus vaccine mandate for federal contractors.

The federal requirement, which is set to take effect Dec. 8, calls on all federal workers and contractors to be vaccinated against COVID-19. The Texas lawsuit comes after similar suits filed by Florida and Georgia, along with several other states.

“The Biden Administration has repeatedly expressed its disdain for Americans who choose not to get a vaccine, and it has committed repeated and abusive federal overreach to force upon Americans something they do not want,” Paxton said in a statement. “The federal government does not have the ability to strip individuals of their choice to get a vaccine or not. If the President thinks his patience is wearing thin, he is clearly underestimating the lack of patience from Texans whose rights he is infringing.”

Anyone from a highly vaccinated place have local efficacy #s?

Efficacy here in Central Texas has dropped to an alarming level. 33% of people in the hospital are vaccinated. 32% on vents. (Low vaccination rate and no mask mandates.)

Wondering how these hospital/ventilator rates compare to states with higher vaccination rates and mask-wearing.

I don't think the national covid websites capture this information.

What's up NY State? Can't find anything on Bannon investigation for stealing money from wall-a-thon

Yes, he was arrested. Yes federal charges. Supposedly defrauded fund out of a $1 million. Yes Dingbat pardoned him. Yes charges dropped.

But NY State is supposed to have opened an investigation. This seems so much worse than not following a subpoena.

And someone dug this tape up of him saying they got a million. Although he could say he was just joking.

Absolutely insane. Queen Elizabeth at 95 to give up

No More Martinis The Queen Advised to Give Up Her Favorite Drink
BY ANWAR HUSSEIN/GETTY IMAGES.
Queen Elizabeth is known to enjoy a tipple but Her Majesty is giving up her daily alcoholic beverage at the advice of her doctors.

While she is in good physical health, the Queen, who has been seen using a cane in recent days including Thursday in Wales where she addressed the Welsh Parliament, has been advised to give up her evening martini as she prepares for one of the most important periods of her reign, Vanity Fair can report.

According to two sources close to the monarch, doctors have advised the Queen to forgo alcohol except for special occasions to ensure she is as healthy as possible for her busy autumn schedule and ahead of her Platinum Jubilee celebrations next June. “The Queen has been told to give up her evening drink which is usually a martini,” says a family friend. “It’s not really a big deal for her, she is not a big drinker but it seems a trifle unfair that at this stage in her life she’s having to give up one of very few pleasures.”

So on vacation in Florida. Guy from Poughkeepsie just

told me that hospital there ( he knew insiders) said that 49 people there have died from the vaccine. What? Is that true??

He's in a unique segment, in my experience. He won't get the vaccine but IS very concerned about Covid. And went out of his way to avoid people by driving NY to FL. ( Unlike the no vaccine/don't worry about covid segment)

Why our top government isn't talking about this EVERY single day

is a true and utter mystery to me.

PS Don't want the typical "they know what they're doing" or " I trust them" comments.

What a lost opportunity! to inform and to save lives by promoting the vaccines. To create competition!!! These bad states are only hoping and praying that no media or the president's team calls attention to their failure.
