global1's JournalIt Really Upsets Me That The Tx Gov Is Sending Buses & Planes Filled With Migrants To.......
cities like Chicago, NYC, LA & DC. And today I saw on the news this caravan of 8000 migrants marching to the US/Mexican Border.
It seems that if we only can think this through - we might be able to come up with a way to assimilate all these people and more.
Here's my idea:
There are 50 states in the USA. If you divide 8000 migrants by 50 states - you get 160 migrants per State. Now if you can get just 20 cities, towns or villages in each state to take on - lets say 160 divided by 20 - you get just 8 migrants per city, town or village.
That to me doesn't sound that unrealistic that there are at least 20 such cities, towns or villages in each state that would volunteer to take on 8 migrants. Seems to me that these migrants would blend into the country very easily and would be well dispersed.
It would also seem to me that each of these 20 cities, towns or villages would be able to welcome these 8 people and help them get established in their city, town or village. I would think that there are caring people in each of these cities, towns or villages that would be happy to take on that challenge. Find them a place to live. Provide them with clothes and food. Provide jobs for them so they can make money and become self-sufficient. Get their kids in schools.
Doing an internet search I found that there were 19,502 incorporated places registered in the United States as of July 31, 2019. 16,410 had a population under 10,000 while, in contrast, only 10 cities had a population of one million or more.
So if you are saying that this migration to the USA will continue - with these first 20 places x 50 states we get a total of 1000 places all over our country that would take on this challenge and 19,502 - 1000 = 18, 502 incorporated places in the USA that still are left in the country that could take on the continuing migration to our country.
Doesn't that seem like a sane, humane and christian way of handling this.
It really ticks me off that this TX and I think even the FL governor are being such asses by putting these people on a bus or plane and sending them off - just to be jerks about it.
This is just one of what I think is a reasonable way of handling this situation. I'm sure if we all put our heads together we probably could come up with more or better solutions.
What happened to the USA being the melting pot of the world? What does the Statue of Liberty have written on her tablet?
This is just a spur of the moment idea that I came up with. I know as I put this out there - there will be a bunch of DU'ers here poking holes in it or making fun of it - but I thought I'd give it a post to see what kind of comments it generates. A solution to such a problem starts with perhaps a brain storming session of ideas for dealing with this. I'm taking this opportunity to put this idea out there to start the brainstorming.
I know - the governors of the Red States might not take a liking to this. But we do still have a Legislative Branch of our government that maybe could make this an official program for every state to participate in.
Ok people - have at it!!!

Now Watch How Dozens Of Talking Heads Will Be Commenting On This Colorado Ruling And......
basically tell us (and more importantly Tr**p & his lawyers) how to get around this ruling by the Colorado Supreme Court.
They will be asked what Tr**p is going to do now given this ruling and they will be offering ( their free advice) as to how to he will probably or how he should fight this ruling.
I've notice this happening before - in such situations - where Tr**p and his lawyers listen to the talking heads comments - and then proceed to incorporate their suggestions in his defense.
Adding Fuel To The Fire (MSM Devoting So Much Time Talking About Tr**p).....
In my opinion - every time the media devotes large portions of their telecast speaking about the dangers of Tr**p - it just stokes his fires. It encourages him - because he's happy they are talking about him.
They keep his name at the top of the news and that just subliminally suggests to his supporters - that his lies aren't really lies - he's telling the truth - and the Deep State IS out to get him.
Folks - we're in trouble here. He's figured out a way to manipulate the media - to legitimize his lies.
In the same vein - every time the Late Night Show hosts make fun of Biden and his age - they are contributing (also subliminally) to the theme - that he's too old. Fallon is the biggest offender of this. I think he's become a Tr**p supporter ever since Tr**p let Fallon run his fingers through his hair.
These late night hosts have got to stop that attacking Biden on his age - because that seems to be the biggest reason polls are going south for Biden - his age.
When will the media learn that the best way to deal with Tr**p is to ignore his antics. When he's not being talked about it cuts deep into his ego.
When talking about Biden - they've got to concentrate on all the positive and good things he's accomplished in his Presidency. Just think of all the challenges he's been thrown. He's having to walk on eggs on just about every issue - but he's a master at doing that. Yes - he's not been able to deliver on all of his promises - but he's having to deal with a screwed up Repug House that hasn't accomplished anything.
Voters - this 2024 election is critical. Throw away you personal wants and think about it from the perspective of the whole of the American People. Give Biden and the Dems a resounding win in 2024 and they will deliver on their promises and more.
It's very likely that the choice you will have in 2024 is Biden or Tr**p. Do you really think Tr**p will deliver on anything that will benefit you personally? Do you really think that the Repugs will make your life better?
Come on now People - get real!!!

I remember when Tr**p's name first came up for running for the presidency - that it was said that Tr**p had a copy of Mein Kampf on his bedstand next to his bed.
Even back then he was telegraphing his plans to end democracy.

New vehicles have headlights that are blinding. I always thought that there were standards with respect to the brightness of headlights.
I'm not talking about 'engaging ones bright lights'.
Just the everyday lights that are on newer vehicles are blinding. I'm wondering how manufacturers can get away with installing these bright vehicle lights that can cause accidents - because they impair the vision of those cars that face them.

If Tr**p wins back the presidency in 2024 and institutes his autocratic administration - whatever dictates he establishes will not only impact on the Dems - but will impact on all Americans.
Many of the freedoms and benefits we have now as Americans - Tr**p will change.
Those Americans that voted for Tr**p won't be given special dispensation from his policies just because they voted for Tr**P and their lives will suffer as much as those of us that didn't vote for Tr**p.
How is is that Tr**p Loyalists and MAGA's don't understand the effect of that impact on their lives and the lives of their families?
Do they really want to live under a Tr**p autocratic regime?
What am I missing?
Shouldn't we be pointing out to them this impact on their freedoms and lives should Tr**p win?
