Does Trump Even Know What 'Flatten The Curve' Means?......

Has Trump looked at the graph they made available the illustrates 'flatten the curve'?

It clearly shows that the flattened curve spreads out the cases of virus over a longer period of time in order to alleviate the pressures on hospitals to be able to handle the cases without being swamped beyond capacity.

I don't know if anyone ever explained that to him.

Here's What I'd Like To See Happen With Dr. Fauci And Trump......

I hear that Dr. Fauci is biting his tongue and standing on that podium with Trump because he feels - if he's not there that people will get even less truthful info and more people will die. So he's kind of resigned himself to being there at least to be somewhat of a counterpoint to Trump.

Here's what I'd like to see happen. I'd like to see some network news outlet give Dr. Fauci a daily forum so that he can provide the American People with truthful info and good advice as to how to cope with this crisis and not have to rely on Trump and his daily lie fests and rallies. Take away Fauci's having to bite his tongue by having to be bullied by Trump. Let him go out on his own.

I'd like to see Dr. Fauci - at one of Trump's coronavirus press conferences just blow a gasket and tell Trump that he's out of his frigging mind and he's going to wind up killing more people with his lies and false hopes. Then I'd like to see Fauci - say I've had it with you Trump and walk off the podium.

Let Dr. Fauci embarrass Trump in front of the world.

Trump is insane and he needs to be stood up to. It's the only way to deal with a bully like Trump.

I Suspect We're Going To Need Another Stimulus Package Passed In Congress When We Beat This Virus...

[Note: I posted this as a response to another post here - but thought it needed to stand alone as its own post.]

Again - it should be directed to the American People and not the Corporations.

I believe there will be a pent-up demand for just about everything as we the people come out of self-isolation. People will be looking forward to eat at restaurants. Go to the movies. Hit a bar. Take a trip. Go to a ball game. Hit the casinos. All the events that have been postponed or cancelled will be rescheduled.

But we must keep in mind for that to happen - the People will need money to partake. That's why I believe that another stimulus directed to the People when this is behind us will provide them the ability to do all those things that we craved while in self-isolation.

As they go out and begin to live again the money that a new stimulus will provide them will be spent and passed on to bring the companies back to life and I believe the engine will churn again.

Right now, however, we can't jump the gun and stop doing all those things - like self distancing and self-isolation - that help us get through this crisis.

You can control your own environment. I use a baseball term: Safe At Home!!!!!

I'm Concerned That Trump Will Interpret The Up Market Today Because He Said He Wants To....

accelerate getting people back to work and ease up the 'social distancing'. I suspect he'll take some bows for that at today's virus presser.

I believe the market is up because they're close to passing this stimulus. Come to think of it - he'll probably take bows for that too.

Any Public Health Official That's Caving Into Trump's Insistence To End Our Defenses Early....

is going to have blood on their hands. They shouldn't let Trump bully them into saying he could end this early.

Yes there might be States (Trump called them countries) that might not be experiencing the effects of the spread of this virus like some of the hotspots are - but they might just be behind the development of the spread.

Remember when West Virginia was the only State that didn't have any cases. Well they do now. They were a little behind the curve but they're catching up or maybe now have even caught up to most States.

Trump is focused only on the economy. He focused on his re-election. Trying to accelerate the methods that have been put into effect to mitigate the virus in the wrong thing to do. He's asking for trouble.

Any person that falls for his early end to this and begins to cheat on the measures that their Governors have put into place are just plain stupid. They are putting not only their lives in harms way - but their family, friends, neighbors and co-workers in harms way. They are putting all of us in harms way.
