***** Photo Contest February***** Part of the Whole Thread 2 of 3
The theme was envisioned and given by HappyCynic who won the January Contest
The thought behind the theme is to portray something which is distinctly a part of a larger object or item. Can be intact, or not, but it cannot stand alone because the connection to the larger part is definitely implied and necessary to be completed in your imagination.
With that in mind please evaluate and vote on the photographs.

February Contest *****All Filled up again***** Thank you all!
Tom Kitten came in with a beautiful photograph and now we have 30 again.
Preliminaries tomorrow if not sooner.
Thank you much.
Small glitch******Photo submission thread for February - here is your chance
When I went to bed I had 30 submissions.
When I worked with them this morning I had lost one seemingly overnight - the photographer deleted it.
So here is the chance for whoever is ready: I will accept happily one more photograph
Put it in the submission thread right under my chatter with Lake Arenal
I will take whoever comes first, and of course no more after that.
I thank you in advance, the preliminary threads will still come either today or tomorrow, we are way ahead of schedule for this contest, and I am just as curious as all of us to see who will get the votes.
Opening up*****February Contest Submissions*** for second photo
There are a few spots open as I type, I believe it is 4 of them, and so I will go ahead and open up the Submission thread for a second entry - for those quick enough to grab it.
Once we have the 30 entries I will get the preliminaries assembled and posted.
Thanks, all, for your participation, and the grand assortment of photos.
*****February Contest: Reminder
We had a swift start but submissions have dwindled. I will keep things as they are a couple more days - then I'll get it open for second submissions and that will bring us to the 30 entries I"m sure. So if you are debating with yourself if or which to enter - now is the window of time before the "end".
I'm really happy with what we have already, the voting will be tough and interesting.
Don't even step on the yellow snow
My feet are on the left. I did not do this. Was just stepping out of my car looking down..
You know who you are! If you entered a photograph that is too large.
This time I will not take the photos that are too large and make them smaller to fit the required
1024 pixels in its longest dimension and under 675K in file size
I'm not really good at it and in the last contest I led it took me many hours to do it.
I'll ask you to please do it yourself, and thank you in advance, you can fix it and as you know it's a matter of simply editing the entry and inserting the new link.
I was really pleased to scroll down in my last contest to see the photos in all the same size.
With your help we can make this happen again.
