The allegations were first reported in The Atlantic. A senior Defense Department official with firsthand knowledge of events confirmed some of the remarks to The Associated Press, including the 2018 cemetery comments.
The defense official said Trump made the comments as he begged off visiting the cemetery outside Paris during a meeting following his presidential daily briefing on the morning of Nov. 10, 2018.
Staffers from the National Security Council and the Secret Service told Trump that rainy weather made helicopter travel to the cemetery risky, but they could drive there. Trump responded by saying he didnt want to visit the cemetery because it was filled with losers, the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity because the official was not authorized to discuss it publicly.

Trump: Americans Who Died in War Are 'Losers' and 'Suckers'
https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2020/09/trump-americans-who-died-at-war-are-losers-and-suckers/615997/Trump rejected the idea of the visit because he feared his hair would become disheveled in the rain, and because he did not believe it important to honor American war dead, according to four people with firsthand knowledge of the discussion that day. In a conversation with senior staff members on the morning of the scheduled visit, Trump said, Why should I go to that cemetery? Its filled with losers. In a separate conversation on the same trip, Trump referred to the more than 1,800 marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as suckers for getting killed.
Belleau Wood is a consequential battle in American history, and the ground on which it was fought is venerated by the Marine Corps. America and its allies stopped the German advance toward Paris there in the spring of 1918. But Trump, on that same trip, asked aides, Who were the good guys in this war? He also said that he didnt understand why the United States would intervene on the side of the Allies.
Trumps understanding of concepts such as patriotism, service, and sacrifice have interested me since he expressed contempt for the war record of the late Senator John McCain, who spent more than five years as a prisoner of the North Vietnamese. Hes not a war hero, Trump said in 2015 while running for the Republican nomination for president. I like people who werent captured.
US imposes sanctions on top international criminal court officials
Source: UK Guardian
The US has imposed sanctions on the chief prosecutor of the international criminal court, Fatou Bensouda, in the latest of a series of unilateral and radical foreign policy moves.
Announcing the sanctions, the secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, did not give any specific reasons for the move other than to say the ICC continues to target Americans and that Bensouda was materially assisting that alleged effort.
He also announced sanctions against Phakiso Mochochoko, the ICCs director of jurisdiction, complementary and cooperation division.
The US Treasury issued a statement saying Bensouda and Mochochoko had been deemed specially designated nationals, grouping them alongside terrorists and narcotics traffickers, blocking their assets and prohibited US citizens from having any dealings with them.

Trump orders review to defund NYC, other 'anarchist' cities
sorry about NY Post, only source right now....
https://nypost.com/2020/09/02/trump-orders-review-to-defund-nyc-other-anarchist-cities/
WASHINGTON President Trump is ordering the federal government to begin the process of defunding New York City and three other cities where officials allowed lawless protests and cut police budgets amid rising violent crime, The Post can exclusively reveal.
Trump on Wednesday signed a five-page memo ordering all federal agencies to send reports to the White House Office of Management and Budget that detail funds that can be redirected.
New York City, Washington, DC, Seattle and Portland are initial targets as Trump makes law and order a centerpiece of his reelection campaign after months of unrest and violence following the May killing of George Floyd by Minnesota police.
My Administration will not allow Federal tax dollars to fund cities that allow themselves to deteriorate into lawless zones, Trump says in the memo, which twice mentions New York Mayor Bill de Blasio by name.
