This is not my war, this is not our war. This is your war.

They are ours who died last night.

On the terrace of a restaurant, in a bar, on the street, in a concert hall.

Ours.

Died because murderers have decided to strike right in Paris and shoot into the crowd, with the aim of making the most possible victims.

11:30. Sarkozy has just declared: "We are at war."

For once I agree with him. They are at war.

You are at war, you Sarkozy, Hollande, Valls, Cameron, Netanyahu, Obama. You are at war, you and your political allies, you and your friends multinational bosses.

And if we want it all stops, it will have once the shock wore off, do everything to stop this headlong rush towards generalized barbarism.

It's not too late. There is still time to move on. Radically.

By refusing the injunction "with us or with the terrorists".

By refusing calls for unity with the torturers and warmongers who build every day a barbaric world.

By denying world based on exploitation, theft, violence, injustice, inequality, the tendering of those who should unite.

Fight for another world that is not only possible but more necessary than ever.

Stay the course and concede nothing under the pressure of emotion or consideration.

You'll be able to tax me naďve if you want. But my idealism has never killed anyone. Unlike your "pragmatism".

It is more than ever time to "resist the irresistible".

So, no, Cambadélis. No, Sarkozy. No, Holland. "We" are not at war.

This is not my war, this is not our war. This is your war.

And once again, these are our dead. As in Madrid in 2004 and London in 2005, as in Egypt there are fifteen days as in Beirut this week.

And like everywhere you sow terror.

Your war, our dead.

Your wars, no more
.

Watch Thousands of Parisians Respond to the Terrorist Attacks in the Best Way Possible

As Paris' "night of terror" unfolded, thousands of soccer fans were ordered to evacuate the Stade de France, where France was playing Germany—and near where at least one explosion had erupted.

A video posted to Facebook shows these soccer fans joining in unison to sing the French national anthem. Some could be seen waving the French flag, as the exiting crowd cheered in defiance of the tragic attacks still taking place throughout the city.

.................

Darkness in Paris
The retribution will be swift and harsh, as will the inevitable reaction, and as will the retribution for the reaction.

BY CHARLES P. PIERCE
NOV 13, 2015 @ 7:21 PM

There is no question that it will get worse as they move toward dawn in Paris. There is no question that it will get worse as the days turn into months and the months into years. Barbarians have laid siege to an entire European city for one of the first times since Rome fell. The body count will climb. The retribution will be swift and harsh, as will the inevitable reaction, and as will the retribution for the reaction. And the events of the day will be fed into the armored, blind triviality of the ongoing American election, and into the utterly corrupted American political system, and into the carefully cultivated timidity and faithlessness that all of these things have combined to make out of the American democracy over the past 15 years. Something awful has happened in Paris. Out of it will be born something awful in the collective mind and the collective heart and the collective soul. I wish I weren't so sure of this, but the planet looks awfully black from up here, and it doesn't look any different if you close your eyes.

Jeff Danziger - Operation Trumpback!

An hour & 20 minutes into speech, people who were standing on risers on stage behind Trump-Sat Down.

Trump Vents in 95-Minute Rant

November 13, 2015By Taegan Goddard18 Comments

“For an hour and 35 minutes, Republican front-runner Donald Trump vented about everything that’s wrong with this country and this election,” the Washington Post reports.

“Gone was the candidate’s recent bout of composure and control on the campaign trail. As Trump ranted on and on, campaign staffers with microphones who were supposed to take questions from the audience instead took a seat, trying to cheer their boss here and there. The audience laughed at times and clapped for many of Trump’s sharp insults. But an hour and 20 minutes into the speech, people who were standing on risers on the stage behind Trump sat down. The applause came less often and less loud. As Trump skewered Carson in deeply personal language, a sense of discomfort settled on the crowd of roughly 1,500. Several people shook their heads or whispered to their neighbors."
