As we read Stone indictment, remember: Stone said that he spoke with Trump on August 3, 2016.

August 2, 2016: Corsi emails Stone informing him of the contents and timing of future Wikileaks document releases, including ones involving Podesta and information related to Clinton’s health:

“Word is friend in embassy plans 2 more dumps. One shortly after I’m back. 2nd in Oct. Impact planned to be very damaging.… Time to let more than [the Clinton Campaign Chairman] to be exposed as in bed w enemy if they are not ready to drop HRC. That appears to be the game hackers are now about. Would not hurt to start suggesting HRC old, memory bad, has stroke — neither he nor she well. I expect that much of next dump focus, setting stage for Foundation debacle.”

[Note: NBC News reported in late Oct. 2018 that “Mueller’s investigators have reviewed messages to members of the Trump team in which Stone and Corsi seem to take credit for the release of Democratic emails, said a person with direct knowledge of the emails.”]

NEW YORK (CBS46) -- Staffing issues due to the ongoing government shutdown halted flights Wednesday into LaGuardia Airport in New York Friday morning and two other northeast airports were also experiencing delays.

The other two airports affected are Philadelphia International Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey.

The news was first reported by Bloomberg News and has since been confirmed by the FAA. The ground stop was ordered shortly before 10 a.m.

The closure is not unprecedented as the FAA can and has ordered ground halts at different airports for various reasons to try to keep the overall airline system running smoothly.

26 People Have As Much Wealth As Half World Population

Capitalist greed has gotten out of control. The rich continue to get even richer, while the poorest half of the world population gets even poorer. That cannot be sustained.

The annual confab of the captains of global industry, finance, and wealth is underway in Davos, Switzerland at the World Economic Forum.

Meanwhile, Oxfam reports that the wealth of the 2,200 billionaires across the globe increased by $900 billion last year – or $2.5 billion a day. Their 12 percent increase in wealth contrasts with a drop of 11 percent in the wealth of the bottom half of the people of the world. In fact, the world’s 26 richest billionaires now own as much as the 3.8 billion who comprise the bottom half of the planet’s population.

If Davos’s attendees ignore all this, and blame the rise of right-wing populism around the globe on racism fueled by immigrants from the Middle East and from Central America, they’re deluding themselves.

The real source of the rise of repressive authoritarianism, nativism, and xenophobia in the United States as well as Italy, Spain, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Denmark, Bulgaria, Greece, France, and Britain is a pervasive sense that elites are rigging the world economy for themselves. And, guess what? They are.

Message to Davos Man (and Women): Either commit to pushing for broader prosperity and democracy, or watch as trade wars, capital controls, and isolationism erode global prosperity (including yours) and global peace.
