Those are just some of the hundreds of messages exchanged by the members of Patriot Front, a 3-year-old white supremacist organization that has grown into one of the most active hate groups in the United States. The messages reveal a sophisticated network of extremists who are training for violence.

The men, who believe the United States is a nation that belongs only to white people, wear uniforms made up of bomber jackets, face coverings, and beige khakis, mandate weight loss and intense workouts, and regularly practice hand-to-hand combat. Some openly call themselves “supremacist” and revere Hitler and Mussolini.

BuzzFeed News has received a cache of hundreds of messages exchanged by Patriot Front members on Rocket.Chat, an encrypted group messaging app. In logs of the chats, all from this year, around 280 members of the group discuss grandiose goals — creating a white ethnostate from the existing United States. The group wants to expel immigrants, people of color, and Jews, remaking the fabric of America.

They seem smart, eh?

Conservative operatives Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman have been indicted in Ohio, once more over a racist robocall aimed at minority voters.

Wohl and Burkman, who rose to some level of infamy online for blundering attempts to manufacture sexual assaults allegations against Democratic politicians and other Trump foes, have each been charged in Ohio’s Cuyahoga County with eight counts of telecommunications fraud and seven counts of bribery, a charge that includes attempts to convince people not to cast ballots. The indictment only adds to the growing mountain of criminal and civil problems facing the notorious pro-Trump pair.

In late August, a robocall that claimed to come from Wohl and Burkman warned voters not to use mail-in ballots, falsely claiming that the ballot information would be used to enforce vaccine mandates and collect on credit card debts. In the call, which was sent to 67,000 voters in the Midwest, according to prosecutors, a Black woman warned potential voters not to send in mail-in ballots or risk being fooled by “the man.”

“The right to vote is the most fundamental component of our nation’s democracy,” Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley said in a statement. “These individuals clearly infringed upon that right in a blatant attempt to suppress votes and undermine the integrity of this election These actions will not be tolerated.”

Justice Kagan:

JUSTICE KAVANAUGH alleges that “suspicions of impropriety” will result if
“absentee ballots flow in after election day and potentially flip the results
of an election.” Ante, at 7. But there are no results to “flip” until
all valid votes are counted. And nothing could be more “suspicio[us]” or
“improp[er]” than refusing to tally votes once the clock strikes 12 on
election night. To suggest otherwise, especially in these fractious times,
is to disserve the electoral process.

Some good news for tonight.

We didn't plan on another one so quickly but

Our daughter just got a new horse

It’s only been a few weeks since we tragically had to put down our previous horse. Still miss that big ol goofball.

But her trainer came across a young (two year-old) off-track thoroughbred. He’d only been raced three times and wasn’t quick enough. There was a waitlist a few dozen long already but we managed to get them to hold him until yesterday until we could decide

Flexions and x-rays were good (so we won’t be blindsided with leg and joint issues again) and he’s very young and hardly raced so he hasn’t been stressed

But. He’s 17hh! Will probably make 17.2hh

He’s TALL. The withers are at the top of my head!

Our daughter is excited. She’s been saving for a while and was able to buy him on her own (we help w/board and vet bills)
