Glad you keep reminding folks of this! 👍

What can be done to stop this propaganda filling the airwaves? Besides keeping reminding folks and boycotting sponsors?

Thanks!

Disclosure: I've a personal interest because talk radio, in great part, was responsible for my brother's intense, seemingly irreparable brainwashing.

I just saw these heartbreaking pics on CNN.

Glad you posted here.

We need an intervension!! These trained pupsters came from the States, so then by damn, we need to retrieve them!! Bring them home. No more dogs for them! Who do we write to??

Many decades ago, a good friend from Turkey told me that Middle Easterners consider dogs to be dirty and unworthy pets. But cats were fine. True, I swear he said this, so I suspect that attitude may be the reason these wonderful dogs have been so mistreated that they're dying.

Exactly! They lack basic, innate empathy.

It's not just their RW lying news that has misinformed them, the base, it's WHY they sought out those sources to begin with. And yes, they had choices.

They have personality disorders and misplaced anger issues.

"...solidarity and empathy with other species"

When I went thru the long and deep grieving process, it was the end of innocent lives that depressed me the most.

Acknowledgement of the oncoming doom takes courage and it seems these young ones have more courage and empathy than most adults I know.

She reminds me of our Lady-Dady Collie

My mother's next door neighbors had gotten a standard Collie puppy, a beautiful girl whom they proceeded to ignore. It was the 1st dog ever for them but that was no excuse. Her only bedding was an old blanket thrown out on their carport. She shivered so badly in winter's cold weather that her teeth chattered. Seriously.

Whenever we drove up my mom's driveway (I was married & living 40m away) in cold weather, she'd come to greet us with those rattling teeth, poor beautiful girl. Sooo, what I chose to do was let her come into my mother's house....& of couse, I feed her & renamed "Lady" Lady-Dady & nicknamed "Chatter-Tooth." When summertime rolled around, Miss Chatter-Tooth, the big baby, would chatter those teeth hoping to come in & be fed. It "worked."

I always went along with her "game" over my mother's objections, who, btw, finally broke down & adopted Lady. I dearly loved that dog so much - she became our camping bubby.

Some pupsters learn that soft-hearted folks "fall" for their clever games. And we laugh.

Do we deserve them?

Your Honor...

I cannot bring this murder case to trial because there's a chance the jury may not convict.

That's on my bucket list.

My mother, who'd traveled in 49 states, most several times, and loved nature, said outside of Switzerland, Going to the Sun Road was the most beautiful and her most loved drive.

My husband's 1st cousin lives on Flathead Lake, so visiting there is also on my bucket list.

The whole notion ➕ warning is the most dumbassed,...

ridiculous thing.

If these gators-headed rednecks wanna do it, let 'em. The fact that the state of FL government made this serious announcement is head-shakingly stupid:

"...because the bullets will come back at you." Seriously?!
That's also a HUGE fallacy!!

Hey, Florida, contract any university physics dept., you idiots! All of you.

Not only amazing but touching.

At least it was for me. It's about sharing a life ...with a respected and very loved dog.

Tonight I just read about Rudd Weatherwax, the dog trainer and owner of Pal, the Collie who portrayed Lassie on the screen. This is from Wiki:

By 1957, Pal
was growing blind, deaf, and stiff, and rarely visited the Lassie set. The star of the show Jon Provost later recalled, "As young as I was, I recognized how much that dog meant to Rudd. Rudd loved that old dog as much as anyone could love an animal or person."[17]**

Pal died of natural causes in June 1958 at age 18 (about 85 in "dog years" ) and for months Weatherwax slipped in and out of deep depression. Robert Weatherwax, Rudd's son, later recalled, "It hit him very hard when Pal died. He buried him in a special place on the ranch and would often visit the grave. Dad would never again watch an MGM Lassie movie. He just couldn't bear to see Pal. He didn't want to have to be reminded of just how much he loved that dog."[19]

**That's how I imagine the bonding between these two must feel. Some of us know how that feels.
