Shoot, the Betty White tribute (her birthday) day is the same as Martin Luther King holiday.

Giving $5.00 to a local animal shelter is being requested as a memorial tribute to Betty White, which I will do, but feel odd doing it on Martin Luther King’s holiday as well.

Grammy have been postponed......

Citing the ongoing surge in Covid cases due to the Omicron variant, the Recording Academy announced that the 2022 Grammys will be postponed. A new date for the show was not announced.
In a statement, the Recording Academy and CBS, which airs the Grammys, said, “The health and safety of those in our music community, the live audience, and the hundreds of people who work tirelessly to produce our show remains our top priority. Given the uncertainty surrounding the Omicron variant, holding the show on January 31st simply contains too many risks. We look forward to celebrating Music’s Biggest Night on a future date, which will be announced soon.”

Amazing Race is back tonight....... 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻

After the longest pit stop in "Amazing Race" history, the show is back.

"The Amazing Race" had completed filming three episodes of a new season when the world came to a halt over coronavirus concerns in March 2020.
It took more than a year and a half for the show's producers and the network, CBS, to make safety protocols and arrangements to finish what they started in the face of unprecedented circumstances.
But like the contestants who race around the world for a chance to win $1 million, "The Amazing Race" producers were up for the challenge.
Below, host Phil Keoghan opens up below about how they did it and what it means to race around the world after a world-changing event.

Will he get to play or not.....Djokovic refused entry to Australia after receiving an exemption....

BREAKING: World No. 1 tennis player Novak Djokovic has reportedly been refused entry to Australia following a national outpouring of rage over his vaccine mandate exemption. It’s unclear what Djokovic can now do to enter Australia.

Late Wednesday night, after arriving in Melbourne, Novak Djokovic’s assumed clearance to play the Australian Open with a medical exemption came into significant question when the Serbian's entry to Australia was delayed by an error on his visa submission.

According to multiple Australian news outlets, the type of visa Djokovic applied for does not authorize medical exemptions for being unvaccinated. As of 1:43 a.m. local time, Djokovic was in an airport room with border officials reviewing the facts supporting his vaccine exemption, per Paul Sakkal of The Age. B92, a Serbian outlet, reported at 3:33 a.m. that Djokovic's father said his son was "housed in a room and no one can enter. There are two policemen in front."

At 4:02 a.m. local time, Serbian journalist Saša Ozmo reported that Djokovic was isolated in a room, not allowed to use his mobile phone.

The Australian Border Force initially attempted to resolve the issue by reaching out to authorities in Victoria to support the Serbian’s entry. Their request was declined.

Another true hero.....trucker stuck on I-95 shared his food with fellow stuck travelers....

After hours stuck with other drivers on a frozen highway, a long-haul trucker with a two-day supply of food left popped out of his semi Tuesday morning to offer his neighbor a hot meal.

A drink and a Jimmy Dean bacon, egg and cheese breakfast bowl.

Jean-Carlo Gachet said he had a couple of days of food in his truck and a microwave.
"He was shocked when I -- when he opened the door at first, and you know, I was saying, 'hey, I just made you a hot breakfast and a cup of fruit punch,'" trucker Jean-Carlo Gachet told CNN from the cab of his vehicle, still unable to move in Virginia.
He had left his home near Richmond with several days of food in his truck.
Gachet has been stuck on Interstate 95 near Dale City, Virginia, since 1 a.m. Tuesday. He was on a leg of his trip that had him headed with goods to Georgia. The other car had been stuck as well for seven hours.
Gachet used his microwave and heated up the bowl of food. ?️ ?️ ?️

This sucks, don't it?? School will be cancelled if union teachers vote to switch to remote learning

Classes in the nation’s third-largest school district will be canceled Wednesday if the teachers union votes to switch to remote learning due to the latest COVID-19 surge, the head of Chicago Public Schools said Tuesday.

Schools CEO Pedro Martinez’s comments come as the district and Chicago Teachers Union are locked in an escalating battle over safety protocols. Students returned to class Monday after a two-week winter break with COVID-19 infections and hospitalizations fueled by the omicron variant at record levels. Voting by union leadership and members was scheduled to end Tuesday evening.
