About Me

I've been a female working a "man's job" (mechanical engineer), stay at home Mom (6 kids), working Mom (6 kids to put through college), unemployed, underemployed, temporarily employed and now working from home! We live on an old, small farm with 2 dogs and 2 cats in the house, variable number of chickens out in the yard.

Planting a shrub or tree.....

One school says dig a hole as big as possible. (EX. 2' by 2' for potted or bare root rose bush) Another school says dig a hole as wide as the roots to avoid disturbing the existing soil layers. What say you (and why)?

Does Chemo make you sleep 16 hours at a time?

I feel so lazy.

Eating their own?

As security parted the masses to give him passage out of the chandelier-lit ballroom, Michelle Fields, a young reporter for Trump-friendly Breitbart News, pressed forward to ask the Republican front-runner a question. I watched as a man with short-cropped hair and a suit grabbed her arm and yanked her out of the way. He was Corey Lewandowski, Trump’s 41-year-old campaign manager.

Fields stumbled. Finger-shaped bruises formed on her arm.

“I’m just a little spooked,” she said, a tear streaming down her face. “No one has grabbed me like that before.”

She took my arm and squeezed it hard. “I don’t even want to do it as hard as he did,” she said, “because it would hurt.”

Thanks Obama -

I went to the Rheumatologist for a check-up and didn't need any blood work - they had complete up-to-date results sent electronically from my oncologist. That's one less blood draw!

If you want to see a bunch of people nervous as a cat on a hot tin roof -

come to Central New York. We're generally buried in snow (for which we have an awesome fleet of snowplows), but this year winter never really set in. (El Nino). It's actually Springlike right now. We're all waiting for the 2' of wet snow that we know has our name on it!

About the word "ghetto"

AS a baby boomer, to me that word means the section of town where African-Americans live. It does not necessarily imply poverty but does recognize housing segregation.
