Cyrano's JournalTrump put in straight jacket -- J.D. Vance becomes candidate
As much of a nightmare Trump is, the scenario in that headline would be worse. Most people don't realize that Vance is as dangerous, and perhaps more dangerous, than Trump. And the reason is that he would carry out everything Trump wants to do, but he's not insane. He'd be a much more efficient, effective, deadly "Fuhrer."
So if you've been waiting for Trump to get hit by lightening, or choke on a Big Mac, start hoping that doesn't happen. He's gone so totally bug shit insane in front of the cameras, that I believe he can't win. But Vance, as a last minute replacement, just might.
Now he's talking about Arnold Palmer in the shower
Yesterday in Pennsylvania, he spent the first 10 minutes of his speech talking about Arnold Palmer.
Afterwards, he referred to Kamala Harris, saying: Youre a shit vice president, And his crowd of morons cheered and began chanting it.
The rest of the world must think America has gone bugshit insane.

So when Trump loses, where will he go? What will he do?
I have no doubt that when Kamala is declared the winner, Trump will have a shit fit and order his "troops" into full attack mode.
It's going to get really ugly for a while. But Joe Biden is still the President of the United States. He's not going to sit in a dining room near the Oval Office watching it all unfold on TV, or throw ketchup at the wall. He will use all the powers at his command to help state governors and city mayors put an end to violence and any acts of insurrection. Not too many in the "insane MAGA sector" will want to stand up against National Guard weaponry.
But the real issue is, what happens after the temper tantrum is over?
Some think Trump will leave the country. Some think he'll O.D. on McDonald's cheeseburgers.
I think he'll slowly, or perhaps quickly, become yesterday's news. And by the time Kamala Harris is sworn in as President, not many will really give a damn about him, or pay any attention to his ranting.
Nonetheless, as he melts away, Trumpism will still be with us. He unleashed a firestorm that won't die down overnight.
He'll go down in history as a would-be tyrant, and many books will be written about how a con man, and a totally ignorant, cruel, mindless man got so close to destroying American democracy.
So what will he do after he loses? Perhaps he'll be in jail, or under house arrest, or maybe even have a stroke. Whatever his future is, I don't give a damn about him. I have no sympathy or empathy for him. I consider him to be a deadly disease. And I just want him to go the fuck away. -- And his fascist enablers will crawl back into their caves and wait for their next opportunity.
Many decades of Republican ideology has brought us here
Over the past 80 or so years, Republicans have opposed every government program that improved life for the vast majority of Americans. They've always insisted that people should "Pull themselves up by their own bootstraps." They've always claimed that "Government is the problem." Here are some of the things that they have consistently been against. They have:
* Opposed Social Security
* Opposed Medicare, Medicaid and Obama Care
* Opposed a woman's right of choice
* Opposed tax cuts (except for the wealthy)
* Opposed the Civil Rights Act
* Opposed the Voting Rights Act
* Opposed the fact of climate change
* Opposed the right of workers to form unions
* Opposed minimum wages
* Opposed free school lunches for children
* Opposed virtually everything that helped the vast majority of Americans
Than, along came Trump. He claimed to oppose everything they did, but he added a few wrinkles like hatred, cruelty, divisiveness, and fascism, with himself as the "Dear Leader" in a world created to satisfy his every desire and whim. And millions of Republican voters bought into it.
But it seems he was too much for those who saw reality and deserted the Republican Party. And I do welcome the desertion of all those high profile ex-Republicans who have turned their back on fascism and are publicly and loudly condemning Trump. However, I wonder why they didn't see the cruel, selfish, inhumane policies of their party before Trump came along. -- Whatever.
The fact that this election is so close is terrifying. Plain human decency indicates that Kamala, and the entire Democratic Party should sweep this election in the biggest landslide in history. Could the established history of the Republican Party have something to do with the closeness of this election? That sure seems logical to me.
Trump is requesting military planes and vehicles for his protection
Iran supposedly wants to assassinate Trump. Therefore, he has requested the use of military aircraft to fly him around, and military vehicles to chauffeur him around on the ground. (He doesn't trust the Secret Service.)
My guess is that he's running out of money to fly around in his personal jet. Anyway, he's not getting what he wants.

Extreme Beliefs?
When I tell friends and acquaintances my beliefs of the world wed be living in if Trump wins/steals the election, most disagree and tell me things like Youve gone off the deep end, or People would never stand for that. (One friend laughed out loud and offered me some Valium.)
What are my beliefs regarding a Trump win? Heres a sampling:
The Constitution would be gone.
He would totally ignore Congress and his hand-picked SCOTUS.
He would replace countless in the federal bureaucracy with those loyal to only himself. (Including the military Joint Chiefs of Staff.)
He would round up every one on his "enemies list" and either imprison or execute them.
It would be against the law to say anything negative about Dear Leader.
Millions of immigrants, both legal and illegal, would be rounded up and sent to deportation camps. When he found out there was no place to which to deport them, (yeah, youre probably ahead of me here), those deportation camps would become death camps.
And then he'll go after,
Well, do I really need to go on? Im describing some of the depravity and the inhumane lunacy of Germany from the mid 1930s to mid-1940s. Im describing the pure evil that almost conquered the world. But you can read the modern-day blueprint for yourself. Its called Project 2025. Those behind it didnt actually mention death camps. But thats the logical conclusion of their plan. And Trump is nothing more than the front man for those who would own us, and eventually, own the world.
BUT, somewhere deep inside, I believe none of this will happen. I believe Kamala, and the Democratic Party, will have the biggest blue tidal wave in history. I believe that there is a sane majority of Americans who sense the deadly danger of voting for Trump, or putting todays Republican Party back into any position of power.
I believe Trump and Trumpism will fade away. I believe that the crazies will be pushed back into their caves to lick their wounds and await their next opportunity. I believe we will move forward to a better place.
It will take time, but, if Mother Nature allows our species to survive, I believe that we will eventually evolve out of the adolescent stage of human development. And then, anything will be possible.
We're getting overconfident and that's dangerous
Many of my friends and acquaintances are becoming more and more confident that Kamala is going to win. Even in casual conversations with Democrats, I find that their spirits are soaring.
But everyone must keep this in mind: In 2016, almost no one doubted that Hillary was on the verge of becoming our next president.
The circumstances are different today and there's no way Trump can truly "win." But virtually the entire Republican Party, nationwide, is working hard at doing everything they possibly can to steal it for him.
Let's not let victory slip through our fingers. Trump/Vance are a deadly threat to America. And they could very quickly become a threat to the entire world. And you can bet the entire world is watching us to see what happens. They "get it."
If you're knocking on doors, making phone calls, handwriting postcards, or volunteering to do anything and everything to ensure that Kamala wins, try to do even more. As Tim Walz said, "I can sleep when I'm dead."
We can't blow this election to overconfidence. We need the biggest turnout in history of Democrats at the polls. Work like we're 20 points down everywhere. After all, there's nothing at stake but our Constitution, our freedoms and our entire way of life.
Hope and Tolerance, vs Fear and Hate
Stripped down to its bare bones, that headline is what this election is all about.
Kamala asks for the best in us. Trump stirs up the worst.
Kamala envisions a better world. Trump wants to own Earth and all on it.
Who people choose to vote for tells you much about them. Most Kamala voters want a future that improves their lives. Most Trump voters want a future in which their "leader" destroys all that "makes their lives worse."
Both sides believe they are "In The Right."
Kamala is offering us a world of hope, tolerance and progress. Trump is offering us a world of fear, hate and submission to his will.
One wants us all to prosper. The other wants us all to obey.
So I'll stop here because I just can't grasp how anyone could cast a vote for their own disenfranchisement, or demise.
In 2016, we KNEW that Hillary was going to win
It was an absolute certainty that she was going to be our next president. Until she wasn't.
Late that Tuesday night, we couldn't grasp that, somehow, someway, Trump won.
We can't let that happen again. Whatever you're doing, don't let up.
Republicans are doing everything possible to steal it.
Keep working for a Kamala win like she's 20 points behind.
Mexicans, Haitians, Jews, atheists, "rapists," etc.
So many to blame for his losing. So many to blame for not living on Earth 2. So many to blame for not wanting to destroy themselves.
This dangerous, delusional prick has dominated the American political scene for nine years now.
Yet, tens of millions of Americans are going to vote for him. Again. Go figure.
Do his voters lack imagination, or at the very least, basic survival instincts? Can't they grasp the world they'd be in if he were to "win," or succeed in stealing it? Don't they know that, to him, their only purpose is to vote for him and worship him? Don't they know that, to him, they're as disposable as Mexicans, Haitians, Jews, atheists, et. al?"
Seems to me that hate conquers tolerance in far too may human beings. If somehow, Trump ends up in power again, his voters will come to realize the cost of supporting him will be a hell of their own making. Unfortunately, all the rest of us will be forced to share the same nightmare they voted for.
