senseandsensibility's JournalCheato just called Chris Christie
a fat pig at his "rally". The crowd roared.
Maybe tomorrow would be a good day for Chris to endorse Joe? C'mon, Chris, you know you want to.
And say what you will about Christie, he's good at verbally taking down trump. I mean he has a gift. We could use him on our side.
Neal Katyal made a really good point last night
He said that cheato (a former POTUS for God's sake), was found guilty of contempt of court yesterday and that was not even the headline. Everyone just yawned. Of course it was mentioned, but it should have been the focus. It was the real news of the day.
Another example of this freak being normalized. This attitude by the corporate media does influence the public, whether we want to admit it or not.
Lawrence O'Donnell
thinks the police entry is very calm and orderly so far. Of course things can change. He pointed out that police gleefully beat protestors in 1968. He also pointed out that the students are co-operating, again "so far."
Katy Tur outdid herself
I posted a week or two ago that Tur asked a lawyer if cheato falling asleep would cause the prospective jurors to feel "empathy" for him. Of course the lawyer politely shut down her inane musings. Then yesterday she was basically called a representative for cheato by none other than Nancy Pelosi during a live interview, for which she was absolutely trashed on twitter.
This morning when the lawyer was going through how various cohorts of cheato's were testifying about the conspiracy to keep damaging news out of the media, she actually asked again if the jurors would feel sorry for him. The lawyer had no idea what she was talking about. According to the testimony, it was he and his cohorts who were breaking the law and engaging in catch and kill for political reasons. No one was plotting against him. Nothing unfair to cheato was happening by any stretch of the imagination. It was all negative info about him and the others who helped him. SO WHY IN GOD'S NAME would anyone feel sorry for him?
She is almost a parody at this point. Next up, when (and if) cheato is convicted, I expect her first question will be : But isn't this bad for Joe Biden?
Oh, edited to add that later when someone said that a member of cheato's family finally attended the trial, she immediately said something like it's not finally. It's only been a week! So her first instinct is definitely to defend him.
Why is David Pecker being treated like some kind of hero?
Please. We are being gaslighted by the corporate media. The guy hid true stories to make sure one of the most dangerous people in the world became President and flat out lied about Hillary. He ADMITTED to breaking campaign finance laws. He and his ilk were at least partly responsible for one of the worst administrations in history taking office.
I don't care if he's a "good witness" or not. And yes, it's beneficial if he helps convict cheato. But it's the LEAST he can do. And even that does not make up for all the damage of those four years.
CNN poll is a "bit of an outlier"
according to Simon Rosenberg, a pollster who is frequently on O'Donnell's show. He is easy to find on twitter and always brings a good perspective. Not overly optimistic or dismissive of all polls that show cheato ahead, but good at presenting the big picture. As he says, there have been dozens of independent polls lately, with many showing Biden ahead and many showing recent gains for Biden.
How is President Biden going to handle the WH correspondent dinner
when he is so old and doddering? You know, would it be too much for the White House correspondents to mention that the "vigorous" cheato was too chicken to attend one during his presidency? Even before Covid, he was too thin skinned and we all know he has no sense of humor.
Come on, press corp, would it kill you to give Joe his due for showing up and taking hits and returning normalcy to the WH?
Campaign poster idea: I like leaders who don't kill their dogs
With a picture of Biden sitting next to his dog in an affectionate pose and smiling.
I actually saw this on twitter a few minutes ago and I hope Biden's team uses it.
I checked out Kristi Noem's twitter page
She has a big glossy post up there advertising her new book where she brags about killing her puppy. She's apparently added some BS about how these things happen on a farm and she's trying to troll the press and her critics about being politically incorrect.
She's disgusting of course, but like all magats she's all in on anything that makes her money and doesn't require any brains. So I think that maybe her publisher will be hearing from people. Because she is getting ratioed like nobody's business and I don't think people are going to let this go.
Joy speaks for me
Said she finds the proceedings on the SC today "liberating." She thinks the court showed their true self today and she no longer has to give them the benefit of the doubt. Basically, they're (the heritage lawyers) are not even PRETENDING to be fair, so it's not necessary even to pretend to respect them.
And that's how I've been feeling for the past few hours as well.
