Texas governor warns of Dems' strong early voting

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) reportedly says in a Monday fundraising email that Democrats’ early voting figures in the state should “shock every conservative to their core.”

Going against the general norm in Texas, more Democrats in Texas have turned out to vote in 2018 primaries so far than Republicans.

Abbott sent an email to supporters asking for donations and warning that Democratic enthusiasm in Texas could lead to results that mirror the party’s victories in special elections across the country.

“We’ve seen a surge of liberal enthusiasm in deep red states like Georgia, Alabama, and Oklahoma,” Abbott says in the email, as reported by The Dallas Morning News. “We had always hoped the liberal wave would never hit Texas, but these Early Voting returns aren’t encouraging so far.”

Georgia isn't 'deep red' you jackass.

Major EPA reorganization will end science research program

A federal environmental program that distributes grants to test the effects of chemical exposure on adults and children is being shuttered amidst a major organization consolidation at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The National Center for Environmental Research (NCER) will no longer exist following plans to combine three EPA offices, the agency confirmed to The Hill on Monday.

The program provides millions of dollars in grants each year.

Perhaps best known for its handling of fellowships that study the effects of chemicals on children’s health, the NCER will be dissolved and science staff serving there will be reassigned elsewhere within the department, the EPA said.

Radio host Michael Savage says hes contemplating Senate run for Dianne Feinsteins seat

Michael Savage says he’s “considering” a run for U.S. Senate in California against incumbent Democrat Dianne Feinstein.

The right-wing radio host of “The Savage Nation,” said on an airing of his program last week that certain unnamed grandees had approached him and urged him to get into the race against the longtime Democrat.

“Some very important people have come to me and said ‘Savage, would you like to run as an independent for the U.S. Senate in the of California against the esteemed Dianne Feinstein?” he said.

“That’s right. I’ve been asked by a number of very powerful, important people to run as an independent for the U.S. Senate in the state of California and I am contemplating whether I really want to leave what I’ve worked for all my life and roll in the mud because politics is the dirty business on the planet.”

Zero chance he does it, the Savage Wiener can dish it out but can't take it. But he will make money off of this, no matter what.
