1 year ago today... update
I had my weight loss surgery. Today I am happy (ecstatic really) to announce, I am down 122 pounds and went from a size 26 to a size 12. I feel wonderful!!!!!!
Edited to add..just returned from my 1 year check up and all my labs came back "text book perfect".
Today's my birthday....
If everything keeps going the way it has today, turning 60 won't be so bad!
Thanks Obama....
My daughter, 29, just had her first physical since she was in high school and still on our insurance. She is having testing, was written a script for asthma and all this didn't cost her a dime, medicaid paid everything even the script.
WOOHOO...porch kitty survived!...
This is one smart cat! The day the storm started I went out and made sure there was a huge bowl of food, to last out the storm. He was there, ate and left. Today was the first we've seen him since. His box was empty later the same day and ever since. This morning we noticed kitty tracks around the deck so we cleaned all the snow off the deck and wasn't but about 15 minutes, he was back! Where ever he rode out the storm, he found a good, warm spot. Now to get him fattened up again.
My weight loss journey...
Some here will recall, I had weight loss surgery on April 1 of this past year. My progress has been simply amazing, to me anyway..lol. My first self imposed goal was to get out of plus sized clothes...check. Number two was to lose 100 pounds...check. My third goal was to get under 200 pounds..as of this morning.. CHECK!!!!
I was hoping to get there by New Years, but heck less than a week off, I'll take it. As of today I've lost 115 pounds and feel great!
I haven't yet decided whether to set any more goals or just go with the flow from here on out, I don't want to set myself up for failure after coming so far. I just had to tell everyone. I AM SO HAPPY!!!
WOOHOO!!!!!...
My daughter got her medicaid card in the mail today! She's been one of those "working poor" who couldn't afford insurance and works for a small mom & pop shop, so they don't provide insurance. She filed on line, took in her documents just before Christmas, got her card today. She's on cloud nine!!! Now she can go have some desperately need medical treatments done.
Oh and THANKS OBAMA!!!!!!
Hooray!! Porch Kitty made it through the -11* night. I was
beginning to wonder/worry. But he just came out of his box looking for food. I guess he likes to sleep in on a cold morning too.I so wish we could get him to come inside.
