i hope you guys are still thinking about a reply like button.

so many times, someone gives such a good answer, that it should be bout over, cuz it is so good.

but also wondering if you guys have ever thought of applying the thread churning software to the replies in a thread. seems like it should be a sort of easy thing to do. (tho i am sure it isnt)

anyway, love you guys. nearly died w/o du, lol. keep up the good work.

cheeto is already failing in his duties.

and appears to plan to continue to do so.
he does not take intelligence briefings, and he does not consult the state department before meeting w foreign leaders. he then goes on to shatter norms of dignified presidential behavior.

i am ready to dump him right now.

i have a theory about the cycle of dems always cleaning up after thugs.

they look for, and often create, problems that they say they can solve. of course, they are almost always lying. and the problems usually fester and get worse. but in the few instances where the problems gets better on their own, they take credit for solving it, and get to pat themselves on the back in primetime teevee. and they are very talented at sniffing out just this kind of problem, too.

we look for problems that are coming down the pike, and look for ways to prevent them from happening. like keeping the auto industry afloat, or spending on infrastructure that quietly improves the way businesses do business, and builds up the country. we fund planned parenthood. we guard the social safety net.

these things are completely invisible. the good dr quentin young used to say that the rotten part of being in public health is that- when we do our jobs right, nothing happens.
lord knows the fact that obama saved us from a deep recession that would have caused a worldwide crash of epic proportions is one of the best kept secrets since the manhattan project. as is the fact that we weathered what was indeed a global crisis better than almost any other country. and we did it by taking care of people.
i wish someone would tote up the impact of the aca on the productivity of the american work force. can you imagine how many communicable diseases are not spread around the workplace when people have good healthcare? even w/o paid time off, which we fought for, the impact just has to be yuuge.
how many workers stay productive when they can take care of their injuries before they break down altogether? get that new hip before they end up in a wheelchair? get their cancers treated earlier?
i could go on, but i am sure you get the gist here.

so we keep it all together, but nobody sees that. they come along and ramp up resentments w their nontroversies. we love that shit. we lap it up. and so they are able to weasel back in.
eventually it becomes obvious that they never could fix the problems, and usually didnt bother to try. the fact the w didnt ban abortions started to open some eyes w evangelicals. the many indictments of raygun officials cracked the trust of many raygun republicans who really believed he was going to end the "waste, fraud and abuse" that plagued the country.

and so we are back to cleaning up the mess. and we always do that the right way. by getting to the root of things, instead of making feelgood moves that look good to out voters on the 10 o'clock news.

and this is how our basic decency, and competent leadership gets us fucked every day of the week and twice on sundays.

calling al gore. paging president gore.

please call, tweet, instagram, email, telegraph, write, visit, kneel, beg hillary clinton to ask for recounts. sir, we love you, but you owe us this.
you are the one person who can really tell her what it is like, and what you should have done.

eta- and could you see if you can get in touch w obama while you are at it?
maybe bill will talk to you.
nancy?
anybody.

November 21, 2016

about exactly what your duty really is, you pick up the phone and have a chat w my president, al gore.

perhaps cheeto sporkhands can handle his conflict of influence this way-

do what he always pretended he was doing, and give away his profits.

instead of turning down his salary as pres, he should be forced to live on it, and give up the profits of his business.

a chinese wall w trump, inc. someone above the kids who keeps tabs on them, and has to sign off on any decisions above $xxx.
full transparency. current returns. all returns going forward for him and any family members in the admin on april 16.
give the fbi and irs blanket permission to oversee the accounting, and whoever, cia, the authority to watch over the chinese wall.

that's about the minimum i would accept.

November 21, 2016

well we knew they would over play their hand, but

jeeeebus, i couldnt even dream up worse appointments.

i think even his most deluded followers are gonna be pukin before the inauguration.

then what?

November 18, 2016

stop saying blind trust. it's a chinese wall.

stop using that term, ya media hacks. it cant be blind, and it cant even really be a trust.

what they are talking about is a chinese wall. that sounds like what it is.
the image of a wall made of rice paper is what you should be thinking. or even of a private space made possible only if one averts or closes their eyes.

you cant correctly or honestly use the word "trust" in any sense when talking about these people.
