there IS a kernel of truth in that- what they r talking about is neonatal hospice. i’ve ranted about this here many times. they have some statement from some judge, not in a case, say that letting them die is ‘neglect’ and wrong, and and.
they r babies who most women wd about in the 2nd trimester. not all, tho. some stick out, so they can- hold their baby for however long they have their baby. and now women r being FORCED to carry that doomed baby.

and we also NEVER talked about y the system is what it is- cuz biz wants it that way. THEY’RE the 1s who benefit. and it does keep the wages of citizens low by pulling the whole thing down w exploited workers.

we were all so excited to see the long lines. long lines r not an accident. tho everyone who lines up intends to stick it out, some will bail. some will HAVE to bail.

in spite of everything, i envy the poll workers today.

i was hoping to b 1, but my health has sucked. i worked about a half doz elections, starting w 04. it’s a great job. but election day 08 was 1 of my top 10 days in my adult life.

it was the only time i had a line at the door. we had a steady stream most of the morning. usually, about 5 pm we’d get a rush, ppl coming home from work. esp at that polling place, as it was a half a block from the commuter train. that day? almost zip.
everyone couldnt wait to vote. that’s how this time feels.

i actually got to clock out early, even tho i was the ‘senior judge’ cuz i was supposed to have tix to grant park. (that isnt rly a thing, a judge is a judge here. but i had more elections under my belt that anyone else working that day.)

esp if u live somewhere red, b sure to thank the poll workers today. it’s a very, very tough job anyway, but the threat level makes those ppl heroes in my book.
i hope they all have a light day, cuz everyone already voted. no matter where u r, thank them.

they're going to gum up the house races so they can hold the gavel on 1/6.

we rly arent talking enough about the house. i had a post about this recently that sunk due to my ‘strident’ language. i stand by that language.

last night sick fuck admitted that was the plan. to have johnson throw it. the only way to do that is to hold the house, which they know is not happening. but they figure there will b enough close races that they can drag through to courts to hold on for 3 days.
i do wonder, tho- they have to vote on a speaker, no? can johnson get it on the 1st ballot? or will we b treated to a 3 day shit show?

i know my man jamie is out there w the house races, flowing money to state/local parties. i know the harris volunteers r carrying lit for house races. but if u r looking to do something in these last days, might i recommend finding the nearest close house race, and going there. or even go further down the ticket. downticket is where the wave hits the beach. that’s where tsunamis come from.
and we rly need a tsunami to wash this filth from our lives.
