Wish they wouldn't.
There are plenty of channels or alt channels to watch political events. Cutting in on people's viewing just pisses them off, and they blame the political figures, not the media.

out of STNG to get more ad time. Sometimes they remove meaningful scenes if they aren't action sequences.
