Well then Mr. Devine I think you and your candidate should go all in and run on a platform of being against an Obama 3rd term.

Poor Tad Devine! He doesn’t realize that President Obama won a U.S. Senate seat in the fifth most populous state in the Union and two National elections. All Sanders has ever won is mayorship and a Congressional/Senatorial seat in one of the smallest states.

Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton Gets Some Star Power

Hillary Clinton turned 68 today, and despite her busy schedule, she made time to let loose.

The Democratic presidential front-runner celebrated her big day hosting a star-studded bash in New York City on Sunday night -- on the eve of her birthday.

John Legend and Demi Lovato were among the performers at Hillary’s birthday/fundraiser event.

Pic with article from PoliticusUSA.. brilliant!

In a statement published on Medium, Plouffe poked fun at their past history, writing, “Now, to be honest, during the most intense days of the 2008 primary, I would never have imagined writing this piece. And I doubt Team Clinton felt any differently about me.”

But here’s what I, and so many of my fellow Obama campaign veterans, have learned about Hillary:

She doesn’t quit. And there were times I wish she had! But you have to deeply admire that strength and persistence. From the moment she went to work for the Children’s Defense Fund out of law school, she’s been working to make people’s lives better — as an advocate for women and kids, as First Lady of the United States, as U.S. Senator for New York, and as a truly exceptional Secretary of State — a job she showed courage and patriotism to accept after such a tough campaign. We’ve all benefited from her service to America, and I believe we will benefit most of all from the eight remaining years of service she intends to provide the country.

She will fight to further economic policies that put economic opportunity for those in the middle class and those fighting to join it. You won’t find anyone in this race more determined than Hillary to make sure every single American has a fair shot to live up to their potential. And you won’t find anyone more prepared, more diligent, with more detailed plans for exactly how to make it happen — from removing costs as a barrier to college to raising incomes and making sure all Americans have the skills they need to get a good job.

I started liking Hillary at the Dem Convention and then when Pres Obama chose her as his

SOS.. I rooted for her as well as the President.

They came together for the greater good of our Country. It's amazing what can be achieved when that happens.. and by more than a few accounts are good friends now.

I got on board back in April when she launched.. 'cause I sure as hell didn't want Bernie. He disses President Obama and you know that doesn't fly with me.

Hillary will get things done. Bernie talks about it.

It's easy to believe America is 1000 times better since 2009.. because it is!

I think the more you get to know Hillary's experience and what all she has accomplished.. the more you'll actually get into the groove of supporting her. That's my hope for sure.

She sure did good at the first debate and the Benghazi grilling.. she left the repubs in the dust as you know.

Welcome, DIrish~

No, my heart is with #BLM and LGBTQ~ As President Obama said today..

I think everybody understands all lives matter,” Obama said during a panel discussion at the White House. “I think the reason that the organizers use the phrase ‘Black Lives Matter’ was not because they were suggesting nobody else’s lives mattered. Rather, what they were suggesting was there is a specific problem that is happening in the African American community that’s not happening in other communities. And that is a legitimate issue that we’ve got to address.”

Yeah!
The Democratic National Committee has given its blessing to a presidential town hall held by leaders of the #BlackLivesMatter protest movement.

Tuesday, a website associated with #BlackLivesMatter movement posted a petition demanding the DNC create an additional debate to focus only on issues of importance to the black community: “It is not enough to poll the Presidential candidates on whether or not they think ‘Black lives matter’ or ‘All lives matter’ – we deserve substantive responses – including and in addition to criminal justice reform, what will the presidential candidates do to ensure that Black lives matter?”

DNC officials, and particularly chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, have long resisted calls to schedule additional debates. But the DNC met the activists halfway, offering to host a town hall instead.

The IRS will recognize same-sex marriages for tax purposes nationwide — even if they took place in any of the states that still haven't legalized them — the U.S. Treasury said Wednesday.

The Treasury's announcement of proposed regulations to "interpret the terms 'husband' and 'wife' to include same-sex spouses" essentially formalizes the inevitable after the Supreme Court's landmark ruling in June legalizing same-sex marriages.

Before the court handed down its decision, 13 states — most of them in the Deep South — maintained laws prohibiting same-sex weddings. IRS regulations already allowed the agency to accept returns from same-sex couples identifying themselves as married, but only from the 37 states and other U.S. territories that had legalized the unions.
"These regulations provide additional clarity on how the federal government will treat same-sex couples for tax purposes in light of the Supreme Court's historic decision on same-sex marriage," Treasury Secretary Jack Lew said in a statement.
Thank you, SCOTUS and Treasury Sec Jack Lew~

Thank you for your vital OP, brave, calling attention to the crucial issues at the very heart of our country.
