“I’ve been told to stop, and I quote, ‘shouting about gun violence.’ First of all, I’m not shouting.

“I’ve been told to stop shouting about ending gun violence. Well, I haven’t been shouting, but sometimes when a woman speaks out, some people think it’s shouting. But I won’t be silenced.”

Damn straight, Hillary.

Bernie used the wrong word. Just because he shouts.. doesn't mean everyone is. There are other better ways to get our message out than yelling.

“My view was, give us a little bit of time,” Sanders explained, pointing to political contention

among the electorate.

“Isn’t that the same kind of tactical thinking, the same kind of political pragmatism, that may have driven the decision for which you criticized Secretary Clinton,” Maddow pushed-back.

Good on Rachel.. thank you, Emerald

Stephen Colbert asked Hillary Clinton if she'd let big banks fail: 'Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes'

She's all Halloween, Happy!

Hillary Clinton told late-night host Stephen Colbert on Tuesday that she would not bail out banks if confronted with another crisis caused by risky behaviour in the financial industry.

When asked by the “Late Show” host Colbert if she would allow banks to fail in the case of another financial industry meltdown, Clinton had an unequivocal answer.

“Yes,” Clinton said, nodding. “Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.”

The former secretary of state qualified her answer, saying that mandates included in the 2010 Dodd-Frank financial-reform package would safeguard against a situation like the 2008 collapse.

Citing praise from New York Times columnist Paul Krugman, Clinton said her financial-industry regulation plan, released earlier this month, is the most comprehensive plan of any candidate. She argued the plan does not just focus on major banks, instead ensuring that risky behaviour perpetrated by other large sectors of the finance industry — like insurance companies — don’t threaten to cause a systemic collapse.

SANDERS: As a senator from a rural state, what I can tell Secretary Clinton, that all the shouting

in the world is not going to do what I would hope all of us want, and that is keep guns out of the hands of people who should not have those guns and end this horrible violence that we are seeing."

Why does Bernie stop shouting then?.. if it's so ineffective.

"Unlike Mrs. Clinton and Martin O’Malley, the other Democratic presidential candidate at the dinner

Mr. Sanders offered no homage, or mention at all, of Mr. Biden, a well-liked figure in the party. And he delivered a speech that he could have given in any state, making little attempt to highlight Iowa issues. Mrs. Clinton, conversely, paid homage to Iowa Democrats by name and attacked Iowa Republicans on health care."

Wow.. good grief! Be in the moment, dude.

Thanks Janey

Birthday Balloons for Hillary!

It's still her birthday out here!

"Now she wants to be the next president of the United States – but members of both the left and the

GOP are spreading lies to stop that."

NO! "Members on the left are spreading lies to stop Hillary from becoming President"?!

Say it ain't so! From your link..

It pains me as a progressive and Bernie Sanders supporter to see people who are supposed to be united against the Republican Party perpetuating falsehoods that weaken our cause. Even if you cling to the belief that Monsanto is some evil corporation intent on monopolizing the food supply, why would you repeat claims that can only be found on right-wing websites like Washington Times and conspiracy blogs like the rabidly conservative Natural News?

There's a few good Bernie supporters out there dealing in facts.. like that guy who said Hillary won the debate. Pure fact driven..

Mahalo for some mere facts, Agschimd
