Germany Is Destroying A Whole Lot Of Fidget Spinners & The Internet Couldnt Be Happier

It's official: Fidget spinners have jumped the shark. How could they not, what with the whirlwind and weirdly sordid history they've had in their short, spinny lives?

First, they were a mere toy with supposed benefits for anxiety or ADD. Now, there is X-rated fidget spinner content. There are fidget spinner cookies, because of course. There is fidget spinner nail art. And did you know? You can use your fidget spinner to cook your dinner, to contour your makeup, and even to swipe right on your next date. It's high time someone stepped in to say something along the lines of, "Please, no more, I am dizzy, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH." And as of this week, that someone is the country of Germany.

Apparently the officials who tested these possibly-useless toys found they were sub-par in terms of twirly-toy safety. For one thing, "bits could fall off and pose possible choking hazards for small children," according to AP. And if that weren't enough, Christine Strauss, a spokesperson for German customs, added that the gadgets also lacked brand information and legible instructions. And so, to the crush-pile they go.

Lobbyist for Russian interests says he attended dinners hosted by Sessions

An American lobbyist for Russian interests who helped craft an important foreign policy speech for Donald Trump has confirmed that he attended two dinners hosted by Jeff Sessions during the 2016 campaign, apparently contradicting the attorney general’s sworn testimony given this week.

Sessions testified under oath on Tuesday that he did not believe he had any contacts with lobbyists working for Russian interests over the course of Trump’s campaign. But Richard Burt, a former ambassador to Germany during the Reagan administration, who has represented Russian interests in Washington, told the Guardian that he could confirm previous media reports that stated he had contacts with Sessions at the time.
“I did attend two dinners with groups of former Republican foreign policy officials and Senator Sessions,” Burt said.

I know we don’t agree on a lot of stuff, but I do think your heart’s in the right place, overall.
I think (hope) you want the best for your constituents...as you see it.
And I think we’ve reached a “Come To Jesus” moment in our journey as a nation.

You’re an educated man. You have a law degree from my alma mater.
You must realize that our president* is just not competent in his job.
He is in way over his head.
You must cringe, along with the rest of us, when he gets on a tweet binge.
The man is just unbalanced and I know that you know that.

Mueller is coming for him and he’s hiring the best legal minds in the country.
It’s only a matter of time until Trump is out of office, one way or another.
The Republican Party can’t brush this off as ‘partisan politics’.
The people are afraid of this man.
You must know that.

Some weeks ago I asked you if you represented everyone in your district, or just the Republicans who voted for you.
I also told you that Baldwin County Democrats organized to vote FOR you instead of the toxic (tea partier).
I never got an answer.

To me, Mike Pence is no prize, but he seems to be a (more or less) rational being.
The evangelical thing makes me a little nervous, but whatever.
In any event, we’re counting on you to do what’s right.
