DOJ must come clean about the leak investigation of members of Congress. This goes to the core of reestablishing a credible, non-political justice system. AG Garland needs to assure the public this is being investigated. I spoke to @ThePlumLineGS.

Chwiesiuk faces five misdemeanors and was arrested around 8 a.m. today. He is currently appearing before a federal magistrate judge in Chicago.
Jon Seidel
@SeidelContent
Chwiesiuk's attorney tells the judge his client is expecting a commendation soon and has previously been police officer of the month all reasons why he shouldn't have a third-party custodian.
Magistrate Judge Gabriel A. Fuentes had expressed some concern because, earlier this week, the feds asked for a third-party custodian for Christian Kulas of Kenilworth.

@SeidelContent
A prosecutor told the judge that, three days before the 1/6 breach, Chwiesiuk responded to a text referring to a lawsuit challenging the November election by saying "didnt read, busy planning how to fuck up commies."
The prosecutor also said that Officer Chwiesiuk breached a U.S. senator's office.

Chwiesiuk's attorney says he has been stripped of his police powers.
The complaint alleges that Officer Karol J. Chwiesiuk breached Sen. Jeff Merkley's office.

Chwiesiuk: "Knocked out a commie last night. Don't tell [redacted]."
Judge Fuentes says he will not allow Chwiesiuk to possess a firearm.
Chwiesiuk said he was going to D.C. "to save the nation," feds say.
