Michael S. Schmidt strikes me as “a disturbance in the Force.” He’s the guy that got this most recent impromptu interview with trump at Mar-a-Lago for the New York Times. He was there as a guest of the Newsmax chief.

Awhile ago, remember that story he reported on Hillary Clinton being the focus of a possible criminal investigation? It was back during the Benghazi bullshit and he got a LOT of face time TV, being asked about that alleged “criminal” aspect. He’d quoted an unnamed source close to the probe (I can’t help but suspect it was committee chair Trey Gowdy, trying to spread more smears against her).

It turned out to be another big fat greasy nothingburger. Again. As every attempted smear or attack on Hillary has consistently proven to be. But he got this juicy bit of bullshit from his “source” and he ran straight to the front pages with it. I noted that once it turned out to be nothing, suddenly Michael S. Schmidt was no longer turning up on front-page stories anymore. At least for awhile.

That leads me to suspect he was cozy with at least one insider trying to use him to plant Hillary smears in the news cycle to further damage and weaken her as campaign 2016 approached.

This same Michael S. Schmidt seems to have a pipeline to the bad guys. Trey Gowdy, and now the head of Newsmax. Who else has he cultivated (or could it be who’s cultivated him)?

I remember seeing him interviewed about his purported Hillary “criminal investigation” scoop and looking so damn smug about it. I find myself deeply suspicious of him now, with his easy access to the Dark Side. I wonder if it’s indicative of his own personal bias. Don’t know. Only speculating. But something just smells funky about this guy.
