About Me

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.

Welcome to DU, Guppy!

Just another reason to love the Dead in general, and Phil Lesh in particular!

Well we can play that game too, Frat Boy.

We’re never gonna forget. NEVER. And we won’t stop OR go away either. For the rest of your life, any woman you see or pass on a sidewalk or notice across a restaurant or in a store or public park or in the car next to you while you’re waiting for the light to change - you’re gonna be uncomfortable. You may day or think you don’t care. But for the rest of your miserable life, you’re gonna face this.

You’re gonna get dirty looks. And deep down, beneath all your denial, there’s gonna be a wee bit of you that’s gonna squirm. Because, deep down, you KNOW that look at you is full of anger, resentment, and profound doubt about your illegitimacy and unfitness to sit on that high court.

trump is always nursing that wound, himself. That’s the main reason why he boasts and brags and sells that shit so relentlessly to this very hour. It betrays how deeply shaky and insecure he feels about his own lack of legitimacy and lack of fitness to hold the job that HE stole. With the very certain and verified help of a Hostile Foreign Power. It’s so pathetically obvious how big a grievance he still nurses over that one.

And YOU, Brett-baby, YOU stand right there next to him in the corrupted, compromised, NO-legitimacy-whatsoever position.

NOBODY'S going to "allow" me to be angry about this.

NONE. NOBODY. Nor does anyone get to “allow” me to be completely and utterly IN-FUCKING-FURIATED about this.

I’m going to feel enraged and ripped off about this for a loooooooonnnnnnng time.

Our Supreme Court will have become thoroughly compromised and delegitimized. I won’t be able to think about this third-of-three branches of government any other way than hopelessly corrupted.

He’s done it alright. trump has freakin’ done it. Screwed up the last pillar of our government. Yet another institution bites the dust. Kavanaugh is grievously damaged goods, and if he ascends to the highest court in the land, then it, too, will be grievously damaged goods.

Yeah. I did too.

I hope the third choice on the list is the way this pathetic episode ends. But I’m also a realist.

Yep. I guessed it, too.

Indeed!

Wouldn't surprise me one bit.

No kidding.

I totally get that, MineralMan. I hadn't seen much about it either.

And I ‘m here a lot.

But Bravo to Bernie Sanders for taking a stand on this. I think he’s right.

I guess we're now seeing the real Lindsey Graham.

Now that his pal John McCain is gone, it seems fairly obvious that the guardrails are gone, too. Maybe John McCain kept him on a leash so he’d always behave well in public?
