About Me

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.

I'm getting chills.

Well, how 'bout that.

Maybe this is just another rule that the CONS have decided they don't have to follow.

MSNBC is on it now.

Michael Avenatti is On The Case.

I forgot one: regarding the "hearing" tomorrow

with the female attorney hurried in from Arizona to do the questioning for the “boys’ club“ on the GOP side of the panel:

Woman as fig leaf.

Mahatma Gandhi.

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.

THANK YOU, Oppaloopa! Your post made me look that one up. I'd been wondering about that quote myself - couldn't quite remember who said it.

DEFINITELY a keeper!

Yep. And don't forget "the sins of Eve."

When I was pregnant, I read a lot about that state of being. And I found something REALLY galling!

Used to be, and NOT so long ago, that women were denied pain relief during labor. Why? Because it was simply "our place" to endure the pain of childbirth and that's how it had to be. It was considered a consequence of "the sins of Eve." That WE ALL were expected to pay for!

Pain relief and epidurals and all that? Only a relatively recent 20th-century development.

We are THINGS. Property. Containers. Incubators. Toys.

We evidently have no other value beyond that.

So does this mean that the GOP does NOT believe in "states' rights"?
