About Me

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.

No. It was more for the quality of the education, which was high.

Also, I was in an elementary school that was part of a franchise. Unless you were hopeless in the grades department, or your dad hadn't made sure the nuns got a new car from your family's dealership every Christmas, you went from 8th grade straight into the upper school. I made it on grades. Pretty much all I did was study. Wasn't much to look at, so I didn't date much. But my report cards were absolutely sterling!

ROFL! Love that!

Those boys in Jesuit high school can grope with the best of 'em.

I know from personal experience. I went to a Catholic all-girls high school. We were routinely paired up with the Jesuit all-boys high school across town - for dances and other social events. There were two other boys Catholic schools that also got invited to our dances, but they were secondary to the Jesuit school. It was annoying. Even for a wallflower, who often waited til 11pm before being asked to dance. THAT IS NOTHING-NOTHING-NOTHING like an attempted or full-on rape. But even merely standing around as a reject for the whole night leaves a mark, too.

I'm just VERY lucky that was pretty much as bad as it got.

I still don't get it. Maybe my mind doesn't want me to.

But hey, I went to Catholic school. That's where I learned all the dirty jokes.

Welcome to DU, Freestate_MD!

Pretty crazy today, 'eh?

I couldn't watch the whole news conference. His voice is too grating to take, for more than a few minutes.

I gave up on it when I finally realized I could NOT stand that voice anymore.

Switched channels to something completely unrelated - a local planning commission meeting.

MORE misconduct? Some "choir boy," 'eh?

I await that day (when we're rid of him and his like) with great yearning.

I realize that time does pass, and the sun rises and sets, and morning turns to evening that turns to morning again, and time will pass. And there WILL be a day when he leaves. Under I-don't-much-care-at-this-point circumstances - WHATEVER. As long as he LEAVES!

But EVERY day is painful, and discouraging, and dispiriting. Gotta tell ya. I'm just grateful for DU. You guys once again give me a refuge into which I can temporarily getaway from this nightmare. And here I thought bush/cheney was about the worst we'd ever get. MAN was I wrong!

I couldn't watch through the whole thing (is it over yet?). Couldn't stand the sound of his voice. Switched to a local planning commission meeting on one of the city channels. Boring as hell. But better than The Asset - and his nonstop lying and distorting and propagandizing and his default blaming Democrats. I wish I could tell him to shut up - directly into his face.

So was he lying then or is he lying now?

Which is it?

And he certainly thinks his "character" is more important than the women with crisis pregnancies

who, thanks to him, may have to go a back-alley butcher to get an abortion. Too many of them will die from that.
