That's one of his tricks. Outlast 'em.

Keep filing for extensions and delays. ESPECIALLY delays. And that way, you can string out your opponent long enough that he/she runs out of money and either drops it and goes away, or settles for a pittance of what they were suing for in damages. Pretty devious. But it worked. And it’s worked for a long time.

One of many reasons why having lots of money (or being PRESUMED TO HAVE lots of money) built kind a f an invisible fortress around him. It worked as another form of intimidation (“do you know how deep his pockets are? He can drag this thing out til you’re facing bankruptcy.” You better take what you can get while you still can…”).

And he fucked with people’s imaginations, giving the impression that he was somehow supreme, invincible, unreachable, unassailable, etc. if you THINK it’s true, then it very well IS - at least in your perception. With this bastard, PERCEPTION is EVERYTHING. It explains why he can be vague about his net worth - which lends the IMPRESSION that he’s so damn rich even HE can’t keep track of how much money he has. And why he can tell one person he’s worth this much and then tell somebody else he’s worth that much and nobody really bothers to check because all they need to know is that he’s got shitloads of bucks - MORE shitloads than you can even imagine, and exact numbers don’t mean much because all YOU need to know is that it’s a lot.

It’s a perception management game he’s played successfully ALL HIS DAMN LIFE. And it’s all designed to benefit himself and screw everybody else.

Yeah. It's a hard one. But they're right to want to share it.

TV lets us be detached and safely distanced from the tragedy. That’s why we NEED to see the worst of it, the wreckage, the devastation, the loss, the injuries and pain and agony and carnage and death.

We NEED to see that to understand and to be moved. In our case, it would be - to be moved to call our legislators and demand they provide help in whatever forms are possible.

We can always sort out the nitpicky little details later. Right now, we’ve got an emergency needing all our attention.

That's basically why they're trying to rig elections or tweak state voting rules etc.

Because they CANNOT win unless they CHEAT.

They don't have the numbers. So they have to cheat if they want an edge on Election Day.,

Too bad it's never occurred to them that maybe a few change in barbaric, pre-historic, and largely repellant positioning might make a difference...

Girl Power!

When the "good guys" are girls. Like in these photos!

Yes, there ARE consequences. When you decide to do nothing, there are consequences.

And those consequences could be deathly serious. Like - how does starvation, forced migration, more refugees, more weather extremes of all kinds, less natural heat mitigation (cuz you cut down or allowed to catch fire and burn a protective critical mass of forest land), and broad-based extinction of species sound to ya?

It scares the hell outta me.

About calimary

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.
