Questions that only Mike Pence and Donald Trump can answer?

It would be extraordinary and unprecedented, no doubt.

But they are questions that must be answered.

Donald Trump was not asleep for 187 minutes. He was on the phone. He was tweeting. He was making videos. He was very busy during this time.

At 2:12 pm, VP Pence was rushed off the Senate floor as the mob flooded inside.

Twelve minutes later, at 2:24pm, Trump tweeted, "Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify,”.

At 3:36pm, Kayleigh McEnany, tweeted that Trump had just called in the NG...We now know some of this is not true... We now know Trump was not the one who called in the NG, Pence did. Pence would have called them a few minutes earlier and someone informed Trump, who then informed McEnany to put out the tweet that he (Trump) was the one calling out the National Guard.

At 4:08pm, Pence placed an urgent phone call from the Capitol as rioters pummeled police and vandalized the building, informing Miller the Capitol was not secure and asking military leaders for a deadline for securing the building, according to a document prepared by the Pentagon for internal use that was obtained by The Associated Press.

“Clear the Capitol,” Pence had told them.

Nine minutes later, at 4:17 pm Trump, knowing that his mob was going to be defeated and embarrassingly beaten down, tweeted his video message to his mob:

"I know your pain. I know your hurt," he begins. "We love you. You're very special. You've seen what happens. You've seen the way others are treated. ... I know how you feel, but go home, and go home in peace."

Around the same time, Maryland and Virginia were sending National Guard and state troopers to the District of Columbia. Trump and his mob retreated.

In a democracy, the will of the people reigns supreme. In the final analysis, over any executive or judicial decisions that might attempt to intervene. It is the will of the people that must be satisfied.

Should Pence and Trump be required to answer questions in front of a Committee of the people?

Damn straight!

One truth all of America should know.

The President is not a King. He should not be exempt from any of the laws of this country.

In fact, he takes an oath to "faithfully execute" the laws of this country. He does not take an oath to "faithfully break" all the laws of this country.

When it comes to obeying the laws of this nation, the people have a right to expect more from their president than from common citizens.

When he breaks his oath, he should be severely punished. He has broken his faith with the American people.

In my opinion, it is as simple as that.

The arrogant disregard for the law...

by people like Steve Bannon, Lindsey Graham, Mark Meadows, and the entire Trump clique, is enough to make a maggot puke. They are better than you. They do not have to adhere to laws or rules.

Trump gave them permission. He showed them how to do it. Just ignore the laws. Pretend it is a partisan witch hunt or that the charges are untrue. Never admit to anything.

The entire Republican Party and the cult have learned their lesson well.

They do not believe there will be any consequences for anything.

Until it is proven otherwise, they will continue their scofflaw ways.

I think Mark Meadows will be subpoenaed before a Grand Jury...

...as soon as the Committee wraps up their last hearing.

I have no secret tips or special knowledge about it, but it just seems like the logical next step for the DOJ.

It should be the indicator that the DOJ is seriously investigating what happened on and before January 6th.

It doesn't go much higher than the Chief of Staff at the White House.

Meadows knows everything. He is the key to the entire investigation at this point in time.

At least, that is my expectation.

Not "Normal"

Nothing in America is "normal" anymore.

The hatred is not normal. The division is not normal. The talk about "civil war" is not normal. The desire to kill all political opponents is not normal.

The feelings of betrayal are not normal. The inability to talk and seek political compromise is not normal. The taking away of citizens freedoms is not normal.

The obsession with cult leaders is not normal. The tearing apart of friends and families is not normal.

It's almost as if everyone was locked inside a cage of monkeys and, after a while, they all started to act the same, snarling and flinging poo.

An Embarrassing Lie...

He was just a valet. He brought dinner to Mr Trump and cleaned up the dining tables. Cassie Hutchinson told of an incident where Trump threw a plate against the wall and ketchup was dripping down the wall. Trump said it was a lie.

There is nothing illegal with throwing a plate unless someone is injured by it. Even if it was true, surely Mr Trump would not try to contact the valet to make sure he had his story right if he was asked about it. It would be embarrassing.

But, if the lowly staff person was to verify Cassie Hutchinson's story, it would back up her story and prove Trump to be a liar, however trivial it might seem, with the list of crimes that Mr Trump is charged with.

It would have been terribly unwise and foolish to try and interfere with the testimony of a lowly staff person. It could be witness tampering, a very serious charge.

In the big picture, it could do more damage to Donald Trump with his supporters than all the other potential criminal charges together. It is not so much a legal problem for Trump as it is a PR problem, if it is verified that he liked to throw dishes like a disturbed and spoiled child.

It would be very embarrassing for Trump to have a witness prove him to be a liar.

Of course, it could be another staff person, such as one of the two Secret Service agents that drove him back to the White House? They may be willing to verify Cassie Hutchinson's story about what happened in the limo on the way back to the White House?

This could be personally embarrassing for Trump and damaging to his support from his most loyal followers. His penchant for control could come back to bite him?

How much of a role did Russia play in the January 6th attack upon our Capitol?

I think Putin and the oligarchs were thrilled to no end that they had their guy sitting in power in the highest office in the land.

Also, I think Russia may have been financially supporting the Proud Boys, and perhaps other militant groups?

I do not think Donald Trump could have conceded the 2020 race, even if he had wanted to. I do not think Putin would permit it.

I think it is very possible that Putin and his people were helping Trump in his efforts to remain in power after the election in November of 2020. I think it also very likely that they are still helping him today in his attempts to get back into the White House.

I believe they assisted him in several of his ideas to overthrow the election, including the phone calls to different state officials, including Brad Raffensberger of Georgia.

In my opinion, Russia was helpful in coming up with the idea to confiscate the voting machines in several of the the battleground states. And that is why Patrick Byrne, boyfriend of Maria Butina, the convicted Russian spy, was sitting in the "unhinged" meeting at the White House on the night of December 18th, 2020. Also, I believe he was the invited guest of General Michael Flynn, longtime ally of Vladimir Putin.

It is my opinion that Russia has played a much larger role in the events of January 6th and before and the FBI should be looking at this as a counter intelligence and counter espionage mission to overthrow the government of the United States.

This is my conspiracy theory for today.

If Garland chooses not to prosecute Trump, could it affect Democratic turnout in November?

In my opinion, it could put a severe damper on the turnout in November. There are many Democrats that will choose to sit it out if Trump is not held accountable. This is just my opinion.

It is possible that it would not affect the turnout at all, I suppose? But, I doubt it.

This is a treacherous position for the Democratic Party. Aren't voting rights and abortion rights enough to get them to the polls? One might think so?

But many Democrats are following these hearings very closely and have developed certain expectations from listening to the facts presented.

In my opinion, this is a critical point for the Democratic Party.

A question about Mike Pence and January 6th?

Reportedly, Trump sent his tweet asking his supporters to leave the Capitol at @ 4:17 pm.

It has also been reported that VP Pence called out the NG to help clear the Capitol.

What time did Pence call out the NG?

Was it before Trump ordered his mob to leave and would Trump have known about it?

The potential "witness" that Trump attempted to call ?

Liz Cheney broke the bombshell at the close of the hearing today. What can we glean from what she had to say?

She said Trump had attempted to call the possible "witness" and the "witness" did not take his call? Instead, the possible "witness" called his/her lawyer, who in turned informed the Committee, who referred it to the DOJ.

What "witness" would have a lawyer ready to call? Who would feel the need to have a lawyer?

The first person that came to my mind was Mark Meadows.

Is it possible he has agreed to talk with the Committee next week?
