It seems that a lot of people are remembering a lot of stuff they had forgotten in the past, in the last few days and weeks.
Zoe Lofgren said today that a lot of people were coming forward with a lot of new information that the Committee will need to assimilate.
It seems that many of them were perfectly OK with the crimes and the criminals until it looked like the truth was going to nail them. Then they remember.
Even Steve Bannon wants to testify before the Committee. I suppose he wants to tell them what he meant when he said on his podcast that "all hell is going to break loose tomorrow"? Then he repeated it: "All hell is going to break loose tomorrow".
Now he wants to give up the "executive privilege" he never had to begin with. What type of scam does he have in mind? Evidently, he and Trump are in collusion with the idea?
When does Mark Meadows step forward and say that he wants to "make a deal"?
Trump to announce his run for 2024 today?
He is appearing at a stump speech for a couple of Nevada candidates tonight.
Also, he is scared to death of what might come out of the Committee hearing that is taking place in Washington, DC today.
He is desperate.
He is going to Alaska after he leaves NV and will probably tease Sarah Palin with the Vice Presidency, anything to control the news story of the day.
Bottom line, he believes that an official announcement that he is running for president will prevent an indictment.
Is that what is happening in TrumpWorld today?
Are the J6 Hearings having any effect on FOX News ratings?
Will they show any news about Cipollone tomorrow?
How many of their audience is tuning in to watch something "different"?
It will be interesting to watch the direction of their programming when the hearings are wrapped up?
They could only hide it for so long.
Just a hunch...
But I would think that TrumpWorld is walking on eggshells tonight. They do not know what to expect from the testimony tomorrow. Trump has been very careful not to criticize Cipollone, but has gone out of the way to be nice and to let him know that he is "one" of the White House lawyers and has attorney/client privilege if he wishes to use it. As if he doesn't know that the WH Counsel is not Donald Trump's personal attorney? That he is the Counsel to advise the President about what is legal and what is not? He is the Counsel for the Presidency.
Cipollone is a treasure load of information if he wishes to unload it.
There was a reason he was telling Cassidy Hutchinson that if they permitted Trump to go to the Capitol, the list of crimes would be "unimaginable". He let Mark Meadows know that he should not go to the Willard Hotel for similar reasons. He was giving legal advice thru the aides, such as Cassidy Hutchinson.
He was there for Barr's resignation. He was there on January 6th. He knows almost everything.
So, TrumpWorld has a reason for anxiety, in my opinion.
The Ukraine people are sick of the war and want it to stop.
They want the killing to stop.
President Zelinsky has said he wants the war to be over by the end of this year. A brother of a famous mayor, a former heavyweight boxing champion of the world, has stated that they need to have a ceasefire and to begin talks for peace.
But, is Europe and America ready for their war to end? Are they ready to stop fighting the Russians? That is not the primary concern of many Ukrainians at this time. It is they that are dying.
Perhaps the only good side benefit of the war up to this time is that Putin has probably not interfered in any other country's elections?
There is only one reason that the DOJ would refuse to prosecute Donald Trump.
And that is whether or not Merrick Garland thought it would be acceptable to the Democratic Party base. That would be a purely political reason.
So long as he thinks the Party is not ready to accept such a cowardice decision, it will not happen.
This is just my opinion.
But, he should never get a hint that the Democratic Party is ready to accept whatever happens in this investigation as alright if it is approved by the DOJ.
I'm hoping that the Party has more courage than that.
It is a complicated investigation and, as yet, it is not a given that the DOJ will not prosecute.
But the time is growing nigh.
It must be super-empowering?
To know that there are no rules that cannot be broken.
To know that there are no laws that cannot be violated.
To know that there is nothing or no one that can stop you unless they prove they can do it.
To know that you will never be found guilty of any crime that money cannot resolve.
To know that you will never serve a day in jail, no matter what you did.
To know that criminality and morality are two sides of the same coin and both can work to your advantage if you have no conscience.
To know that people love to be lied to, and the bigger the lie, the more likely they are to believe it.
To know they will give you all the money you will need to support that lie.
To know that it is only the degree of sincerity that differentiates the lie from the truth.
To know that power is more important than the foundation of a country.
The next election should be about America.
Are you pro-America or anti-America?
Are you a fake patriot? Do you claim to love your country but all your works and actions say otherwise?
Do you hate the other Party so much that you would sacrifice your country and your democracy to see them defeated?
Do you understand what your fathers and grandfathers (and mothers) have fought and died for?
Are you willing to bet it all on a con-artist with a good-sounding lie?
That appears to be where much of America is at this point in time. They have bought a ride on a train with no destination. America grieves for their ignorance and the ease of which they are manipulated by power-hungry politicians willing to sell America down the river.
Or are you one of those folks that believe you are supporting your country by supporting everything that runs counter to our Constitution and the laws of our country? Are you a sucker? Did you really sell out your country for such a cheap price?
Is that really all that America meant to you?
Joe Biden has promised a speech after the Committee finishes its hearings?
Did I hear that correctly? I haven't heard much more about it since initial report?
If he does give a speech, what should he say?
Maybe he should attempt to tell the people the truth they are not getting? At least, not enough.
Maybe he should remind the people that Our Capitol was violently attacked on January 6th and it was not "acceptable political protest" as Republicans are stating. That is a lie.
The American people should know that it was an attempted overthrow of their election and their government. Also, it was planned from the very top. They were going to throw out 81 million votes on the word of one of the world's greatest "liars". No evidence. No facts. Just the word of Donald J Trump.
And there were crimes committed. There was election fraud on a grand scale. Cartoonish recounts to outright demands to find votes that did not exist. And they were on tape. There is not much more proof you can find than that.
There were violent militias commanded to take over our Capitol if every other scheme failed.
They succeeded in halting the Electoral Count of our presidential election. However temporarily, they succeeded.
Your Senators and Congressmen had to flee for their lives, as the violent mob screamed for VP Pence to be hanged. There is no doubt that something very tragic would have happened if any of them had been captured.
More than 140 US Capitol Policemen were injured in protecting your US Capitol, some of them very seriously. The only person, the Commander in Chief, at the time, could find to mourn was the extremist that was attempting to enter the broken window into the room where the Speaker of the House was hidden at the time. She was shot and killed in her violent attempt to capture a Congressperson.
The Capitol Police saved many lives and perhaps our democracy on that day. It was heroism on the level of the Alamo. History will record it more accurately than we have done thus far.
It is natural that the culprits and the guilty parties would want to minimize it and pretend that it didn't happen at all. Cover it up and forget about it. Can you blame them? They are covering up their asses.
The America people deserve to know the truth. If the media and the press are hesitant to give it to them because they can't handle it, then I will let them know the facts of the case. It is up to them to clean up our democracy. It doesn't matter if Joe Biden is the President or not, but it does matter if we continue to vote for people who would betray our country.
Cipollone thought Trump would be arrested on January 6th.
The incitement was so obvious to him that he thought the FBI or the US Marshals would visit TFG that very day. It was reported at the time but soon slid into the void.
Is this the headline from Friday's hearing?
Cipollone is due to testify by video with the January 6th Committee tomorrow. His name has come up in the testimony of several witnesses, including that of Cassidy Hutchinson, the last witness to testify. He had told her that if they showed up at the Capitol, the list of crimes would be "unimaginable".
He could be a dynamite witness or he could be a dud? It will all depend on how much he wishes to give them. No doubt he has a lot of information to give them if he chooses.
For example, what did Trump say when he was told the FBI may arrest him that very afternoon? How concerned was he over his legal liability? Did he show any remorse?
