The kind of range that tempted people to shoot up wall street or Bank of America? Are those so appropriately channeled that they are considered to be "sane." Yet, a person who channels similar rage in a more disturbing direction is mentally ill.
In retrospect, would anyone seriously argue that Charles Starkweather or Bonnie and Clyde were mentally ill? Imagine the carnage if they had had the kinds of weapons available today.
The people he's talking to are cracking up because he's so fired up. He and Piers Morgan both seem to be so mystified that it makes them angry. "Outsiders" have excellent perspective on American politics.
Guilt By Association:Troubling Legacy of Sandy Hook May Be Backlash Against Children with Autism
On the first day back to school after 20 first-graders and six adults died at a Connecticut elementary school, students at a Utah middle school gathered to discuss the massacre. A boy raised his hand. The reason why this man shot little kids is because he has autism, he said.
Tricia Nelsons seventh-grade son was at the assembly. Hes shy, not the kind of child apt to speak in public, but his hand darted up in response. Autism doesnt make people shoot other people, he said

"Inside every one us, there exists a dark side. Most people rise above it, but some are consumed by it. Until there is nothing left, but pure evil."
Creepy, huh? I can't help but wonder, how does that person interpret violence in movies. Or what does it mean for him to kill an adversary in a video game.
Most people want to assert that no sane person would commit a crime like this. It's not true. Sane people do kill. In violent rages, because of financial incentives, in violent fueds and altercations, as part of military or police training.... It is more difficult to understand killing in some contexts than others, but writing off what we are not able to understand as mental illness is an intellectually lazy way of giving up on exploring other factors.
Each time an incident like this occurs and distancing language blaming it on mental illness and refusing to engage with other social factors is used, society pulls further away from mentally ill people. A study in Germany showed that levels of social acceptance for mentally ill people dont go back to normal after such events. In other words, the stigma faced by mentally ill people increases every single time theres a horrific event blamed on mental illness circulating in the public consciousness.
I thought this concert was supposed to be about getting back up.
"Well, at least we can all follow Romney's example of public service and begin to engage more in our own communities. A good place to start"
That to me is an incredibly bizarre statement!
I suspect she got some mormon targeted ads or something. The really sad thing is that she has adopted 2 children who are black.
It's very McCainish to support a candidate who put up with a racist constituency, despite having at least 2 major reasons to be offended.
Incredible exchange with a 10 yr. old.
The ad sucks, but it's worth ignoring 30 seconds to see this.
It's hilarious because they had a song called "Mr President" that came down on Reagan in 1982.
I hope they use it now and history catches up. Romney looks foolish for having them there in the first place, seeing supporters cheering to a song that originally bashed St. Reagan would be an inspiring irony.
Demeans women by suggesting she doesn't know the definition of legitimate. All you ladies need to listen men on this one because they are smarter. I hope a lot of women call BS on this one and vote against him out of pure spite.
