The Left Column

If democrats like Steny Hoyer think letting trump go Scott free is a good idea, I would like to know

just what crime would trump have to commit to get you, like minded Dems, to do your constitutionally sworn duty and govern.

I can’t wait to see how many of these milk toast Dems get primaries due to lack of willingness to stand up and do their jobs.

We have a ways to go yet before elections and a lot more trump crap is going to come out when the unredacted Mueller report hits. There is a reasonable chance that Attorney General Barr will find himself in the dock due to his obstruction of justice actions....

The Senate should NOT be taken into consideration when it comes to impeachment.

The impeachment clause of the Constitution does not have language that states, "only impeach if you're 100% sure that the Senate will vote to convict".

The House's constitutional duty is to investigate possible crimes by the President and vote to impeach if they find good cause to do so. The end....

These facts are not in dispute:

1. Russia actively worked to get the presidential candidate of its choosing elected president.
2. That candidate and his campaign was actively aware of these efforts by Russia and--at a bare minimum--did nothing to dissuade or stop these efforts.
3. When an investigation about these efforts from Russia was taken up, the candidate--now President--undertook multiple efforts in an attempt to impede the investigation.

Those are things that neither side can deny as being fact at this point.

This is not a political problem. This is a goddamn national security problem and it needs to be addressed with the seriousness it demands.

Balls to the wall.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I think a President who says "I'm f***ed" is guilty.

I don't care if legally they can't prove "intent" (whatever), our country is worse off for having this criminal in our White House and running our nation. What will the history books say about him?

We've gone from "I cannot tell a lie" about chopping down a cherry tree to the supposed leader of our nation saying "I'm f***ed."

Never thought I'd see the day. Oh, and I highly doubt you'd read something like this about President Obama.

The Bottom Line

It is up to Nancy and the Democrats.

Otherwise, Donald Trump is going to walk. No one else can hold him accountable.

The Democrats must make a decision. Do they want to impeach or do they want this to be decided by the election in 2020? ...

The report is great news for all of us. No , we did not hallucinate the past two years.

The report says the news media was correct in their reporting and what we witnessed with are own eyes did happen They did conspire with Russia and Trump did obstruct justice.

Mueller is simple saying I don't have recordings or videos. I can't charge Trump legally but there is enough evidence for impeachment and it should be decided by congress.

boston bean

I know nothing should shock me.

We know the Republicans and trumpasses are a pack of vicious lying vipers.

But the absolute bald faced lying they attempted to pull over this report when the truth would be revealed in an hour and a half either shows how craven they are or how stupid they think American citizens are.

I think it’s the latter. But still a bit shocking in a way of how far we have fallen and our government is failing us.

Never thought I would see this in my lifetime.

The "No Collusion" Sentence quoted in full is quite damning.

The full sentence half quoted in Barr's cover (up) memo reads:

"Although the investigation established that the Russian government perceived it would benefit from a Trump
presidency and worked to secure that outcome, and that the Campaign EXPECTED IT WOULD BENEFIT ELECTORALLY FROM INFORMATION STOLEN AND RELEASED THROUGH RUSSIAN EFFORTS, the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities."

In other words, Trump and his minions were knowingly at least "cheering the Russians on" in their efforts to undermine our election....

Why Trump has denied Russian interference

Trump has insisted, again and again, that not only was there "no collusion," but there was no Russian interference in the election. Clearly, he thought any hint of interference would diminish his "victory."

Now, of course, he's crowing because the Mueller report supposedly "exonerates" him. But that report says something quite different....
