She talks about how many people in her own field don't vote. She says they get no pass. She says they are the last people who should be standing on the sidelines. She really hits them hard and tells them why they have to be all in. I love this. She is talking about her own industry and directly talks to them about their responsibility to vote. She didn't mention herself once in that segment.
Williamson might not be leading the country, but I respect how she is working to lead a group of her followers, peers, and colleagues.
I won't be voting for her. I will embrace her as a fighter of the good fight.

(102,205 posts)Why would anyone vote for someone NOW who has absolutely NONE of the necessary credentials and experience?
Is she constitutionally qualified? Yes based on citizenship and age, but for heavens sakes, TRUMP is in office. Why would anyone wish to support someone whose only qualifications are being "nice" and significantly more emotionally mature (given her self-help experience) than many in politics?
Let her run for statewide office. Maybe Congress. And learn what she would need for a "believable" campaign for national office.

(3,259 posts)She is sitting here working to get out the vote for us. That alone means a lot.
She also has one of the most in-depth platforms of any candidate running.
"lovely person"
Sad to hear such a thing here.

(102,205 posts)Clearly, we could use a lot more "lovely" and a lot less strident. BTW, I believe Biden is likewise a "lovely" person, yet he is more than qualified by comparison. Ditto most of our other candidates, both male and female would deserve that adjective. That you take offense at this term is interesting.
That said, my entire post questioned, not her philosophy which most of us could find much to agree with, but rather her qualifications that would make HER both electable AND the best person to get these policies enacted.
Strawman, indeed.

a mere "lovely person".
That was also a part of the statement.
Anyway, I thought this was positive. Sorry it so quickly went strawman territory and a reference that she is a "mere lovely person."
