A message for Biden opponents
Don't come here trying to disrupt or instill fear in us by parroting or promoting right-wing talking points about our nominee. Either you are with Biden or with Trump, and by repeating right-wing crap, you know very well where you are standing!

49. Yet, We Have Bernie Supporters Hoping That Something Might Happen to Biden...
... as a reason why Bernie should not drop out. This is reminiscent of hopes that the DOJ would indict Hillary Clinton and it misunderstands the nominating process. Yet, this is another BS/Right Wing/Russian talking point designed to prolong the primaries and help Trump.
https://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1287&pid=681009 He should stay in and considering the uncertain times we are living in secure his place if Biden were unable to continue to the general election. 52. Sounds like Trump himself. We are at the point where no criticism
should be allowed. Supporting Biden 200% and build unity and a solid front. Trump is a very dangerous and formidable threat to win. At this point in time we need to show a strong party, unity and strength. We already have the Democratic vote. Now we need to show our strength and conviction to get the undecided and independent vote. No reason to show anything but support for the working class at this point. Trump danced into the presidency with a lot of promises. Now we need to show we have the support and conviction to work for the people. Trump has exposed himself as having no use for anything that doesn’t benefit him.

55. Mom? Is that YOU???? I thought you passed in 2006!
Mom, since you’re evidently back among us, let me tell you what that attitude did to me, growing up. I heard you the first time. Now it’s YOUR turn to hear me.
You never let up on me with your criticism. Never. You were the first Grade-A-Number-One fault-finder of the whole world. NOTHING I ever did was good enough, or satisfied you. I had a weight problem as a kid and teenager. You NEVER let me forget it. You hated that I was fat. I made straight A’s. I never got in trouble. I never hung out with the “bad boys,” or even “bad girls.” I never snuck out at night behind your back or snuck a boy in behind your back. I never cheated or stole from your purse. I never lied to you. I stayed home and studied and wrote papers and read books for book reports. I was a model student, Mom, and that was my world. And you knew that. You saw it every day. But I was overweight, and I guess to you, Mom, that was THE cardinal sin of all time. And you never let me forget it. And you’d nag me about it and complain to me constantly about how fat I was and how bad I looked and how no clothes or fashions no matter how much they cost would ever look good on me because I didn’t look good myself. I had long hair and I’d hide under it and you berated me for doing that, too, Mom. And there came a point where you started to justify it. Maybe you assumed because I was getting older and less inclined to listen to you or care what you said anymore, you should explain yourself a little. Remember what you said, Mom? (Cuz I sure do.) You argued that you were “just trying to help me.” I remember as though it were earlier this morning: “nobody will tell you the things I tell you. Nobody will tell you this.” (Sure, Mom. I get that. Nobody else is that driven to hurt my feelings day after day, and make me feel horrible and ugly and unworthy of love. Nobody else will s so hellbent on hurting me and shaming me and NEVER being satisfied with ANYTHING I did - even all the things I did and accomplishments I achieved that were good. It was never good enough. I was never good enough. And believe me, I got the message. I fought the ol’ self-esteem thing for years. In some ways I’m still fighting it, and Mom, you’ve been dead since 2006. And I’m still struggling with it to this moment. Hell, you kept it up in your hospital bed and then when you were sent home to your own bed the very end because there was nothing the doctors could do for you anymore. I’m still partially crippled by that. Still confused about whether I have any worth to anyone because I don’t look like I belong in the pages of Vogue magazine. Certainly I’m emotionally damaged, to this very day. But you were just so sure you were “helping me.” You thought or believed, I guess, that you were somehow being “kind.” It was for my own good, you’d say. You were just “trying to help.” ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

34. There is a fallacy in that argument.
Candidate A is certain to become the nominee and is not criticizing Candidate B at all.
However, Candidate B with no chance is attacking and smearing Candidate A. What is being criticized about Candidate B is his failure to grasp that in his attacks (most of them FALSE), he is carrying the water for republicans. The latter MUST be criticized -- what you are saying sounds like "there were very fine people on both sides." ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

What I care about is getting Trump the hell out of there, and we won't do it if we write the Rethugs commercials for them. There's no doubt in my mind that a lot of this is right wing trolls looking to stir things up among the libs. But what I'm still trying to figure out is how such a large percentage of people on this site still consider themselves "Undecided". How does that work at this stage? 48. This is a divisive, omnidirectional and offensive post
This is a nerve racking time and circumstances. Blowing general anger onto those who aren't in total agreement is also a RW tactic and gets doubled down with foul languaged bobble head "Yes, shut down, you enemy" posts I see nearly 10 of above.
Relax, your candidate is top of the polls, and will become more so. If someone is posting such sacrilege, how about addressing the issue right there, or even flag a post as inappropriate? ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

53. DU is an echo chamber, so divisive OP's simply reverberate among us and no one else
I would imagine most participants here are Democrats. There are, of course, exceptions, but we self-police very, very well.
My problem with Bernie supporters is their effect on the voting public in general. I don't argue that everyone has a right to support the candidate of their choice, i just feel that the 2020 election will be an existential one, and the sooner we endorse a singular candidate to oppose the abject fascism we're faced with, the sooner we can ensure a concerted and laser-focused counter to our archest of nemeses. In other words, it's time for Bernie supporters to take one for Team USA, not even the Democrats, but Team USA. And trust that Joe has your back and will work with you to bring some of Bernie's ideas to the political landscape. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

56. Those aren't right wing talking points. Those are Sanders campaign
smears pushed by his hand picked staff.

61. Or maybe Biden and his supporters need to start healing wounds
and approaching the left instead of demanding obedience. Ever think of that?

63. When did Biden demand obedience? Total nonsense! And Biden adopted some of Warren's
Issues, but the fact is Biden does not need to go any more left and do Bernie’s agenda. He has
great pragmatic and progressive plans that will attract Dems and people we need in swing states. He has got landslide Dem support. And he will have dependent and cross over too. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |
