Jesus-Bernie or JB for short.

Not joining the revolution... not going to welcome a new massiah.

IF he wins the nomination (which maybe should be the focus now for the Berners), I will vote for him come November.

But he hasn't won the nomination yet... and I really hope he doesn't.

I don't patronize or romanticize people in that way. And if you think this is about a cult of personality, you aren't paying attention.

I think even Sanders's most ardent supporters recognize that "personality" isn't exactly his strong suit. But his character, his consistency, and most importantly, his policies, are something that bring together the largest and most diverse group of Democratic voters we've seen in this primary.

Sanders connects to a significant amount of the Indigenous community through his policies, his consistent principles around self-determination, and his action (eg Standing with Standing Rock before it was fashionable).

who have been genocided, forced off their land, and have had to watch the natural world and it's people get exploited for a couple centuries?

Quite possibly.

I suppose their numbers aren't statistically significant enough electorally to matter to many people here, though, so let's just mock this man for supporting Sanders, amiright?
