From the article I posted:

“Bernie said he didn’t want his money, so we’re not going to. I don’t think it would be prudent to spend on behalf of somebody who didn’t want it,” Bloomberg advisor Howard Wolfson told the outlet, adding that Sanders seems to be jumping the gun a bit on securing the Democratic presidential nomination.

“I think everyone else has said they want the help, including Elizabeth Warren. If Elizabeth Warren is the nominee, we will do everything we can to help her. Sanders is the one candidate who said he didn’t want the help,” Wolfson said.

Wed Feb 26, 2020, 02:41 PM

Bloomberg can spend an unlimited amount that is not coordinated with the campaign, such as attacking Trump or registering voters.

Rachel Bitecofer, a smart polling analyst, says that this is Bernie's single biggest mistake, since Trump and the Russians will bury the Dem nominee with spending. Bernie cannot hope to match or beat that with individual contributors.

Maybe someday there will be real campaign finance reform, but, for the 2020 election, Bernie's attitude is yet another example of progressives bringing a plastic spoon to a gun fight.

This alone will doom the Sanders campaign, even if "socialist" was acceptable to most voters. Which polls show clearly it is not.

If Sanders is the nominee, this country's 200-year experiment with democracy and the rule of law is over.

Putting aside for the moment that Hillary Clinton had more money than Donald trump and yet still lost.

... It's become pretty obvious that when Bloomberg was donating money to all these Democrats and Liberal organizations, he expected payback down the road. It w s a long game of buying influence for him.

Don't believe me? Maybe ask the Center for American Politics why they scrapped a chapter in a report detailing illegal surveillance of Muslims in New York.
