Comparing Sanders voting record with other top Dems

How often does Sanders vote in line with other top Democrats?

Sherrod Brown: 84 percent

Amy Klobuchar: 77 percent

Elizabeth Warren: 93 percent

Chuck Schumer: 84 percent

So, 84 percent with the leader of the Senate Democrats. Obviously some differences on a very few big issues but not that much overall. Not as much as those freaking out might think.

1. Warren looks better than Schumer, which does not surprise me.

And, on a hopeful note, perhaps Bernie is more like Harry Truman than George McGovern.

2. Sanders is not a Democrat. He's an Independent.

So please don't confuse him with real members of the party

8. You seem to be confused about the post

This "he is not a Democrat" has been posted here, what, maybe 150,000 times? The fact is his voting record is very much in line with "real" Democrats, whether you like it or not, and there is a chance he will be the nominee of the Democratic Party. Perhaps that will clear things up for you.

3. So Sanders is the establishment he denounces?

So much sound and fury and all smoke and mirrors?

5. Of course he is

Is is widely misleading for someone who has been in Congress for 30 years to claim they are not part of the establishment

9. Well I've never heard him disparage those receiving public assistance the way you have

Probably lucky for you that post got deleted.

4. Not entirely true. Those comparisons aren't exactly objective.

6. Isn't a simple addition of how many times they voted the same way?

It seems completely objective. Though not thorough because of votes where one of the other was absent and no comparison can be made. But that's a limitation of the criteria, and not one of subjectivity vs. objectivity.

10. Says you with absolutely NO factual basis at all for your claim

Not that's anything new. But isn't this constant deriding of facts and news stories from legitimate news sources pretty much the same as others yelling "fake news" when they are given facts they don't like?

7. Interesting - I never saw that. It was interesting to compare Warren with Sherrod Brown and

see where she (and Bernie) voted the same but Brown differently. Warren and Sanders voted together on the same votes that are different between Sanders and Brown.
